I still can't decide on what to go with, but I'm now leaning towards a 6112/5160 setup. Seems like it would be irresponsible to go with kings or something when the truck isn't even paid off yet... Anyways, I need a little help deciding the final specs.

My truck is a 2020 TRD OR with 265/70/17s and a GFC shell on the truck bed. I have a bit of sagging right now, and a lot of sagging when it's all loaded with gear. I'm leaning towards a dakar heavy duty leaf pack and the 6112/5160 combo set to the 6/5 notch.

Would I be about level or a slight rake with this setup? Do I need UCAs with this spec? Would I have any issues if I want to go to 34" tires later down the road?

I know it's a lot but thanks a ton for any input.

That’s what I’ve got, decided to go with SPCs and have really enjoyed them. My Dakars squeak like hell, so I’m just living with that. 285/75/17s fit with 650lb springs on 6/5 with CMC, Fender trimming, and mud flap delete.

There is an easy fix for the squeaky dakars. My used to. I do this twice a year and have zero issues now.

Some people do add in the carrier bearing drop bracket and/or shims but it really depends on if you feel vibrations and what your before and after lift pinion angles are. If you place these items in first you can experience vibrations from doing so. What we usually recommend is for our customers to measure their factory pinion angle (there are some tutorials on the forums) prior to the lift and again after. This way you know what degree your angles are off and you will be able to add in the proper shim.

This is spot on advice. I had vibes pre-Dakar from my 3-Leaf AAL. Once the Dakars went on my vibes went away. No bearing drop kit, no shims required. Every single truck is different, though. I got lucky.

What is a good spring to upgrade to if I want to fit an aluminum bumper and skids eventually and still want a decent ride? Haven't decided on a bumper ($$) yet so I would be riding around with the spring upgrade and I'm assuming a little added height for a little while. So, beefier than the stock spring the 6112s come with, but not super stiff that I could have a meteor land on my front end without sagging.

Myself and others have upgraded to the Bilstein 650 lb. spring. Good middle ground between 600 and 700 lb. springs. Also keeps your 6112's in warranty.I wouldn.t install those until you start ading some weight, however. They are markedly stiffer than the 600 lb. spring.

What @toucan said. I upgraded to the Bilstein 650 lb spring when I added my front bumper and skid trio. brought me right back up after the "weight sag."

I'm getting my 6112's, 5160s, SPC UCAs, and Headstrong AALs installed tomorrow. Still on stock wheels and tires.

Any pro tips for just after install?
Never had suspension work done before. I should get an alignment immediately correct? I'm waiting a few weeks for wheels and tires, so will inevitably need to do it again. Just trying to know what I don't know, before I find out the hard way.

Yes get it aligned right away. Well next day anyway. Go to your nearest Firestone and pay for the lifetime alignment. You'll need that. Just curious how much is that costing for the labor to install all that?

I'm a little sketch at a chain being able to do a good job on adjustable UCAs, though lifetime alignment is a fantastic deal. What's been your experience with Tacoma alignment at firestone?

I just went to one today, and they told me they pretty much toe and go. And didn't want to work on aftermarket/lifted trucks as "too many of you guys come back saying something is pulling right or left".

If you're going to new wheels & tires you don't have much to lose by waiting to do an alignment till the wheels & tires are swapped. Unless you are going on a long road trip or some rad off roading.
Uneven tire wear won't matter much to you if you are ditching that rubber.
