What top hats are you running? they don't look like OEM height.

Is that a spacer built into the spring perch/top hat? If so, and you're on highest lift setting, is that ok for the shocks when the wheel is unloaded? Seems like it would top out hard over bumps.

Maybe some gen 3 people can chime in. I think @3/4 you'd need at least an AAL (3-leaf) in the rear without the overload leaf. Gen 2 4.0 access cab here. Based on Headstrong's site with tables comparing gen 2 to gen 3. I went with #2 both sides with spacer drivers side, chart said I'd get 1" lift in front, I got more like 1.5". It was barely level for a while then the rear sagged a bit (on new TSB leafs) looking nose high. Went with 3-leaf no overload and now have a F-R rake slightly more than stock but far better than w/o it. The chart for gen 3 says 3/4 gives you 1", I'm going to bet you'll be in the same boat.

Not in 1000000 years. I really hope that's not what he has installed. It almost looks like some kind of weird top-hat that covers the top of the spring but that would be a first I've seen.

What’s your hub to finder measurements with that setup? I’m considering Deavers and I’m curious what the height is fresh and settled. Plus it looks like you don’t have much weight in the back. Thanks!

havent measured it yet. Has a slight rake because I carry metal shelving for work. So that’s why I decided to go with Stage 1. The ride is unbelievably smooth.

I’m trying to figure out what I should do for my rear end lift to accompany the 6112 at 5/4. I haven’t bought anything yet but I’d like to get this project on the way. I’m looking at 6112/5160 for shocks.

im torn between doing the icon 3 leaf AAL and the icon RXT pack. I routinely carry 200-300lbs of gear in the back and I tow about twice a year to help friends move, etc.

my concern right now is that the AAL is cheaper but the stock pack on my sport is almost always riding the OL leaf with any weight in the back.

i live in Canada so my options here are limited. The icon 3AAL is about 350$ vs 1k for the RXT pack.

my truck is also pretty much brand new (if that matters for the real leaf pack)

any input from you guys would be appreciated!

Go leaf pack if you want it and have the $$. If you don't you'll always wish you had.

I have the Wheelers 3 AAL with OL and ARE topper with roof rack on 6112/5160s based on a friend's recommendation. So far I'm satisfied with the rear but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new full leaf pack if performance starts suffering. The OL springs work, that's what they are meant for.

Totally get what your saying, and I think I secretly know that the full pack is the better long term solution.

i guess I’m curious if a 3AAL will be "good" enough when combined with a relatively new stock pack, where I will be happy for 3-5 years. I’m really not sure how much life you can expect out of the stock leafs or most 3AAL kits.

super new to all this so again thanks for the input
