Looks like you had extended 5100's. I had them (5125). More travel than a 5160.

Interesting.. I had bought my 5100a as a kit from headstrong.

I had read that the 5160s had a little more length to them which is why I bought them.. guess there’s a pair of 5160s for sale (brand new) If anyone wants them lol.

How much lift do you have in the rear?

I see you have an RCD sticker on your 5100's. RCD makes a 4-5" lift rear shock. That's a really long shock.

I Believe the part number on my 5100s is
F4-BE5-B110-T5 it could be, there’s easily 3 inches of length compared to the 5160s... hmm. This has been an interesting day.

Edit: lift is definitely not 4-5” I just have the 5100s and Dakar medium duty. I would say 2” due to my Dakar’s sagging a bit.

Right from the Bilstein website (below). If you have more than 1.5" of rear lift you might want a different shock absorber.

Have you compared the collapsed length? That is probably just as important as the max extended length.

I didn’t, but it’s ok. I decided to get 14” shocks in the future, so I’ll either return or just sell these.

How much lift are you getting? I have stock springs on clips 3/4 and have ~.75". I'm adding a winch and bumper and going to 700#. Hoping to get less than 2" and more than 1" on the same clip setting.

    I would say 1.5”

I’m running 5160 in rear with Dakar mediums. Rear rides great but I want some more rake up front. Will prob go 650lb and 6/5 notch next year

What lift are you running in the rear? I have some 6112s on 3/4 waiting to be installed. I also have a Wheelers 3 leaf AAL but now am concerned it may be too much lift in the rear compared to the front on 3/4. Have done a lot of searching on this but not many people running on 3/4. Thanks in advance!

I've got all pro expedition leafs. I run quite a bit of weight and it's settled to about 2.5"

Anybody try running the 6112 at 6th clips on both side? Trying to get 2.5" out of my lift, either that way or run 1/2 spacer driver, 1/4 passender at a lower clip to achieve 2.5"

Going to change up to 700lb spring once the front bumper, winch and skids arrive mid jan. Maybe that'll bring it up a smidge.

Did you push your wheels outward at all with spacers? I'm trying to learn whether the physics of going up 2-2.5" on the 6/5 setting forces you to go out as well with Spydertrax or whatnot.

No spacers, in fact I did try spacers after the initial install, and they caused rubbing on the outside of the fender. Without spacers and with max caster on SPC UCAs, no rubbing.

255/80/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W. They are skinny 33s. Not everyone's cup of tea, but for me, it was a perfect marriage of form and function.

It's the skinny look from the front or back that some don't like. I don't really care about the "look" as much as the weight and performance. I've felt almost no loss of power, and don't feel the need to regear so far (it's only been a couple of weeks but still).
