Thank you, Idk if you saw my alignment thread update but i went back to Firestone and I think i got a better alignment this time. As he maxed out the caster it kept increasing positive camber so we called it quits. UCAs are in my future for better alignment.

Having a good alignment shop is key. Firestone is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it's not. Depends on the tech doing the alignment.

No doubt a week ago they only spent 20 mins and only messed with toe. This time they spent 1 hour and as the guy was wrenching on the cam bolts he was asking what specs I was looking for. But a lifted Tacoma with stock UCAs has it's limitations.

Anyone got an eta on the 6112? I'm tired of always being told maybe 6-8 weeks.

I gave up waiting on the 6112's and got 5100's. Enjoying them so far, can replace in a few years if they wear out I guess.

Installed 6112/5160 without lifting two months ago. 6112’s are at 3/2 clip and sits 1/2” higher with RCI steel skids.

The 6112’s are great! No more wollowing like stock OR however it is not harsh. The faster you drive off road the more they like it, they soak up bumps and I haven’t felt a harsh bottom out. Highly recommended!

now the 5160’s I’m pretty disappointed in. They are still pretty soft like the stock struts and the rear end still bounces and flops around. Maybe they’d be better with different springs but they could use more compression as they bottom very easily even with an empty bed.

I installed brand new TRD Off Road Bilstein shocks all around that I bought at the dealership. My front suspension is stiff AF because I’m running the 3rd Gen coil on a 2WD 2nd Gen, but the rear is extremely stiff and bouncy. I’m sure it’s because I don’t haul anything in the bed and I have E load KO2 tires. I’m going to set up my 6112’s at 2” then run a 1.5” AAL (without overload) and the 5160 in the rear. I really hope the ride quality improves. The roads here are pretty bad and I’ve bottomed out before so I also added some Wheeler’s Superbumps to my order. Here’s how my current suspension rides on shitty roads. Notice how my ditch light bounces around:

Hope they get a Bilstein shipment in. February 15th is when they’re supposed to get a restock. If they don’t get restocked I’ll message eBay sellers and buy them there cause I can’t wait any longer

Hey just want your guys’ hit on something to make sure I’m thinking right:

I have my perches set at 5/4 with 650lb coils - 5/4 is the max stated by Bilstein for Access Cab.

When I got my lift I was already 1” below stock front at 20” hub to fender (armor weight). I got 2” of lift but only 1” over stock so now I’m at 22”. Should be ok moving up to 6/5 perches right? Assuming Bilstein’s chart is to avoid lifting too high over stock, so if I’m going above that for Access Cab but under 2” over stock I should be fine correct?

Note: wanting to go higher to stop some minor rub stuffed.

I think the main reason why bilstein does not recommend 6/5 on a AC is due to the lack of weight of the truck compared to the DC and for protection against extreme axle angle. In saying that, they do not account for any extra added weight like armor and so forth. Going up one notch will only give you about 3/8-1/2 inches. It is interesting though. What weight are you running? I am running full skid trio, a streamline bumper and sliders on a DCLB and mine is set on the second the the last notch with 650lb springs and 33's and I am not rubbing.

An AC 4x4 weighs way more than a DCSB PreRunner. @irayfz6 has the 6112’s in the front and have already started to sag. I’m afraid my truck isn’t heavy enough for the 2” lift preload I’m going to set them at. I have a 2WD DCSB
