I'm exactly where Bilstein indicated in their chart with clip 4/5 AC cab 4x4 (basically 1.75" increase in the front)

    22.75" F
    23.75" B

1" rake for the Leer 180 shell I have on order. Based on tests with weight in the bed I expect about 3/8"-1/2" sag with the shell.

265/765-16 tires on 16x8 zero offset wheels.

    This morning. 38 7/8f, 37 7/8r.
Still roughly 25"f,24"r center hub to fender.

Full tank. 3 weeks since front lift. 6/5, 1/4" top plates on both sides

I ran thus curb about 7x. Then reverse back. Maybe 4-5mph. Did not run the rear thru.

Are you 2 wheel drive? I'll get photos of the curbs I was hitting today for reference.

Also I am using stock UCAs.

Maybe hit them at more speed... I considered it like driving out in the CO mountains thru the rocky boulder sections over the high passes.. Put something on your lower control arm bump stop (a spot of grease or? that would leave a mark on the upper impact point) and determine if you are actually actuating the suspension to full compression.

2wd. Yes I'm very hesitant hitting the curbs. But i will do it though.

    Is 10mph ok?

I can only speak for my experiences. I had no problem with it. Check to see if you are bottoming the front suspension on the bump stops.

You could add in some speed bumps instead or in addition to the curbs at more speed.

    @Sig Taco

just got in my truck and drove down the block where I was running curbs.. tried it at 10 mph again and they soaked it right up. I was doing one side at a time.

Why not take off the spacers and drop the settings a notch or two? With a 2WD at those settings AND with spacers on each shock I’m not surprised its that high and rides bad.

    thanks

Purchased those Konig Countersteers 11 years ago (sold by FN) for my 2006 standard cab. Decided to give them a try on the 2021 with a bit larger tire since the wheels are ultra-light at 17 lbs each. Thought I'd get them powder coated if I like them but the silver color is growing on me with the silver Tacoma.

    On my old standard cab

or jack up the front and find out if the shock is in "topped out" position. If it is, when you jack up the front corner by the frame rail, there will be zero droop as you lift the vehicle off the ground. Better yet you can measure right below the spacer you added on the top of the shock mount to the center of the lower shock bolt.

I have 21.75" for that measurement (full droop unweighted = top of shock mount plate to center of lower mount bolt).

Also measure when with the truck is on the ground the distance from right below the spacer you added to the center of the lower mount bolt. Mine were right around 20" to 20.25".

So I am also looking at doing the 6112 set on my truck, set on the 1st notch. I am replacing my 140k front suspension with some nice new shocks and springs. I already replaced the rears with 5100's and the TSB leaf pack. While I have my truck at the shop and the suspension is apart, is there anything else I should replace? Bearings, bushings, anything like that.

    Thanks

It would be a good idea to check the upper and lower ball joints for play and address them accordingly

Where is the 1/4" spacer placed in the coil assembly?
Between the spring and top hat? or on top of the top hat?
Did you install longer studs to cope with the 1/4" spacer?

On top of the top hat. The coilover came preassembled. Longer lug nuts wasn't needed using 1/4" top plate.

Here are pics pre-lift from December. Stock my truck still sat way higher than the 4wd despite some saying all gen-3 tacos measure the same.

    Passenger stock 35 7/8"f , 36.5"r.
    Post-lift 38 7/8"f, 38"r

A little stiffer than stock but does not ride bad.
I'll just add a 2.5" rear block to level it. Will research more first.

Thinking about going option 3 on my rxt’s too, how much lift did you end up getting vs how much weight do you keep in the bed?

Been reading this thread for some time and looking to upgrade my 2nd gen’s 5100s to the 6112s with the Dakar mediums but I’m torn on what rear shocks to run. I know the 5160s (14.22 x 24.06) compliment the 6112s but I’m looking for a bit more travel. The 5125s offer 15.01 x 24.38 but is just an extended 5100 from what I gather. I wanted to see if anyone has ran the 6112s with fox’s 2.0 w/ rr model 985-26-118 (15.2 x 24.38). I understand that the 6112s are digressive pistons/curving and damping while the fox’s are linear pistons w/ fairly progressive damping curves. This is all based off of research from here and accutune and in no way am I well versed on this topic, just looking for some info/insight to anyone who has knowledge on this or has actually ran (or knows someone who has) this setup. Thanks.
