An AAL will (in almost every situation) ride much rougher than a new leaf pack or a block. You’ll get more firmness up top than OEM with any performance shock (front and rear), but my money says that your AAL is your roughness problem. Throw about 400lbs of static weight in the bed and drive around for a bit. Bet it knocks a bunch of it out. That is the unfortunate cost of entry with an AAL.

I just put my Black Friday order in for the 6112/5160 combo. Am I going to need a sway bar relocation bracket with the 6112's?

Yes, or delete the sway bar all together.

6112 is so fat it can come in contact with the sway bar during suspension travel. 6112 were contacting sway bar on my 18 Tacoma. Evident by scuff marks on the shock body. Sway bar relocation brackets fixed it.

Bilstein does not recommend sway bar brackets with their kit.

Where did your sway bar make contact with the dampener? Did you use any spacers on top of the assembly?

Have 15,000 miles on mine with a few thousand of those being offroad in CO and no contact what so ever.

Same story here on my 2020 OR. A few hundred hours off road and no contact there whatsoever.

Yup some folks have zero issues and no contact with sway bar. Some do.

Was a 3rd gen so no spacers. 6/5 setting. Made contact on the front of the shock where it sits close to the sway bar. The only place it could possibly make contact.
