I'm running 650# coils at 4/5 and I'm at 22" hub to fender with beefy ass steel skid and sliders for what it's worth. Ride is far from rough imo

Okay, but I’d be rolling stock, just the lift. I’d guess you have 300# added, I think. Probably opt to go with 600# coils. Thanks for the info though.

Hello all. Lots of good info on all of these pages. I have been scouring these and many others on this site for 6112 setup. Seems like there are many opinions and everyone has a bit of a different setup. I wanted to get y'alls opinion on my setup and questions. I am very interested in the 6112/5160 lift, I have heard nothing but good things, especially for ride quality. I would like 2-3 inches of lift. I don't have nor do I plan to add any extra weight on the front like a bumper or winch. I was wondering what clip settings you guys recommend for optimal ride quality, yet also getting the the most lift possible. I have read that the 6/5 clip setting can be a bit of a harsh ride.
Have you guys heard of anyone pairing the 650 lb springs with the 6112s and use a lower clip setting and not have any extra weight on the front? I think I saw that the 650 lb will add about 1/2" of lift to any clip setting.
Have you guys heard of anyone pairing these with say 1/2" spacer or so for a bit more lift? I ask since I am looking for a bit more lift than the 2" stated by the 6112s.
Finally, what is your opinions of using the same clip setting on both sides, like 5/5, and I can add a 1/4" spacer for the taco lean vs. the different clip settings, like 6/5, to compensate for the lean?
    Thanks in advance!

IMO run 6/6 1/4” spacer driver side for lean. 600lb springs for stock weight. They Will settle a little bit and call it done. Ride is great Imo. Ride quality is very subjective remember that. Are you planning on UCA’s? Definitely get some worth the money in the long run. What are you doing in rear? AAL / Leaf Pack? Hope this helps. Other members should help out soon.

Thanks for the response. How much lift did you get once it settled? How does the ride compare to stock? Rougher, softer, similar ... ? What size tires were you able to fit with the lift? Rubbing?
I am planning on a set of SPC UCAs and an AAL in the back. Which AAL did you install? Thoughts on it?

No problem. Firmer than off-road shocks. In a good way. I’m at 23 1/2” hub to fender 2” of lift or so. I’m running a Deaver aal right now waiting on my leaf pack to get here. I’m running 32’s. You could fit 285’s with cmc etc. I’m running SPC’s also they are great I’ve had no issues with them. You’ll definitely like the set up.

On the 5160 remote reservoir, do you have to drill the bracket to the frame? Or do you mount it to the park existing hole?

Thanks, I’ve seen certain videos on certain brand that they had to drill holes.

You've got plenty of length on the hoses to hit the square holes on each side, some rr's look like they don't give as much so I could see that as a reason

I just did the same 6112s up front on the same setting. Could you tell me your hub to fender measurements? Any added weight? I have close to 400 lbs of armor between my BAMF sliders and skids so that may be why I only got about 1” of lift on 5/4.

Maybe someone here can help me out. I currently have 5100s with ome 887 springs in the front and 5100s in the rear with a deaver single aal on my 3rd gen DCSB 4x4. I originally wanted 6112/5160 but they were oos for a while and I ended up just getting the 5100s. Anyways the ride on the 887s imo was a little too soft and I have a ton of brake dive, and to my surprise they sagged pretty bad. I didnt know that was an issue until I researched it after the fact. I want to get 6112s in the front now to replace the 5100/ome, but I want to run the 6112s at 6/5. I saw the 650lb spring offers an additional .5 of lift, but would running the 650lb spring at 6/5 be extremely stiff? I definitely want a more stiff ride. I want the truck to be as level as possible after it settles. I personally dont like rear rake. My question is will the 6112s set at 6/5 with the stock 600lb springs be enough or should I get the 650lb springs set at 6/5? I want as much lift as I can. I also have aftermarket UCAs.

for what its worth, I have my 6112's set up at 6/6 and i am going to run a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side... i was in a similar predicament as you and thats what ive decided to do. just waiting for my icon RXT to show up before i lift the truck can can comment on ride quality

are you going with 600lb or 650lb springs? i also didnt add i dont have any armor upfront nor do i have plans of adding some. i just dont want to lose a ton of lift and have a bouncy soft ride but at the same time i dont want it to violently stiff :annoyed:

If you don’t have additional weight up front I would do the 600lb coil. Extra weight with skids/bumpers probably want to do the 650s. I have no extra weight with the 600lb coils set on the 3/4 settings and definitely not a “squishy” ride. I’m sure it only firms up as you go up in the settings

thanks for the response. i have a bit of ptsd from my current set up. i just really dont want them to sag a bunch and be super bouncy. everytime i brake even at low speeds i have massive nose dive too. i thik after countless hours of research i will just pickup the 600lb springs on 6/5

5100 rear is meh compared to 5160. You might be mad at yourself for staying with 5100, IMO.

6112/5160 with 600lb springs set at 6/5 +3AAL (or a full leaf pack) is the way to go with this setup if you want highest lift yet great drivability. Almost zero dive.
