Bilstein 6112's 5th clip 1/4" spacer driver's side. Icon tubular UCA's with Delta joint, wheelers superbumps, ECGS bushing. Allpro standard leaf packs, 5160's, U bolt flip kit with wheelers super bump's, extended stainless steel brake lines, carrier bearing drop. Icon rebounds 17" with Nitto terra grappler G2's 285/70/17's.
Welcome to TW! I just installed the 6112/5160's about 2 weeks ago. I have the front setting on 5 and 5 with a 1/4" spacer on the driver's side for the lean. After 500 mi they have settled around 1/4". I have 2 3/4" of solid lift in the front now and it rides slightly firmer than it did stock. No brake dive, less roll than stock in the corners, I'm very happy with it. The 6112's are lifting more than what bilsteins chart said. Don't go over 3" in the front or you'll have the CV boot rubbing on the driver's side inner boot. Hope this helps.

like previous people said, make sure to get the proper spring rate.

i had my 6112 on the top clip with 1/4" spacer on drivers side for about 25k miles so far. they are holding up great. only issue i had is the bushing that is on the bottom of the front shocks, the one that the bolt goes thru, it started cracking and tearing a little on my set up.

what life expectancy do you guys these shocks will go for? i understand its all about how you treat them. but just for the average joe?
they are great but i just want to go to fox or kings for the different valving. these are a little too stiff for me on washboard roads and the beach. where i spend most of my time off roading.

you like being at 5 and 5 on both sides with the 1/4" spacer? i was gonna go 6 and 6 with a 1/4" spacer.. now Im second guessing myself. classic. what are your wheel specs? what are you measurements ground to bottom of fender?

For me I’m at 6/6 1/4” spacer driver side with full skids and sliders my measurements are ground to fender in level concrete floor shop 37 1/4” front give or take and rear about 38 3/8” Definitely lost close to 1/2” of lift. It drives very nice. Kinda hesitated about upgrading to 650 coils or do I need to? . Currently waiting on leaf pack.

I do like the 5 and 5 with the spacer. I'm glad I didn't go 6 and 6 as I would have been over 3". I'm running icon rebounds and 285/70/17 Nitro terra grappler's. I didn't measure ground to fender I measured center of hub to fender. Fronts are 23 1/4" and rears are 24" even. Hope this helps.IMG_20220118_150558552_HDR.jpg

Your truck looks good. Do you have center of hub to fender measurements in the front, or could you tell me your tire size. I am at 21.5" center hub to fender. With the 265/75R16 Duratrac I am at 36.5" ground to fender. This is at 5/4 with 600 lb springs, BAMF sliders with fill plates and full steel skids. About 380 lbs for all the armor. I am considering the 650 lb springs and will definitely need them when I add a front bumper and winch this year.

Thank you bro appreciate it. I have same thoughts as you. I did order 650 springs the other day. Waiting on rear bumper from RCI and icon rxt leaf pack. My hub to fender front is 22.25” also running 265/75/16. I also plan on front bumper of course LOL Never stops

What did you do for the rear lift? Also, may I ask why you decided to go with the spacer rather than going on the 6th notch on the driver side? I’m about to bump my settings from 3/4 to 5/6 or do 5/5 w/ spacer on driver side as I have a 1/4” spacer I could use.

I went with the allpro standard leaf pack. I wanted to get around 3" and I was really wanting to keep a good ride. It did exactly that. Smooth. I went with 5-5 because I wasn't sure how much lift I would, or wouldn't get. I figured I could adjust the hight easier with small spacers, and again, trying to get around 3" and keep a good ride. It rides really close to stock. I went with nitto terra grapplers in 4 ply for the same reason. And they're only 45lbs apiece. Also trying to salvage my MPG. So far so good. Hope this helps.

Searched the entire thread and didn't see anyone using limit straps after doing UCAs with the 6112. My assumption is they aren't needed if you only do aftermarket UCA + stock LCA + stock spindle. Seems like a popular configuration and I would have read about problems somewhere if it was in fact a problem.

Just to be safe, asking the dumb question: Can anyone confirm that the 6112 won't over-extend after doing UCAs / won't need limit straps?

I have had over extension problems with my 6112s at 5/6. They slam to full extension when going over the backside of speedbumps and potholes. I am actually likely going to lower to 4/5 for this reason. Happen with stock UCAs and still happens with aftermarket JBA UCAs

Good to know thanks. If it happens with stock UCAs that's all I need to hear before ordering something longer for the future. Cheers matey!

(Note to anyone reading this: I'm currently running 6112's at lowest 1/1 setting for stock height and love the ride. My questions are just for future upgrades so don't read into it that 6112s aren't good. I'd buy them again.)

Is this a common problem with everyone running on 5/6?

This common with most strut and spring setups. My OME front suspension did the same thing on my old truck a decade ago. I believe it’s caused by too high of spring rate, not enough rebound valving and being lifted to the point that you have little to no down travel causing the shock to top out constantly. I’m no expert though.

It is on my truck but this also happended on my OME (old man emu) lift.

Seems to be a byproduct of not enough rebound dampening. I'm sure there was a trade off when designing the 6112s, less dampening=less pack down on successive bumps but harsher top out on drop off
    Or something similar
