Thanks for the reply crashngiggles. Yes, the 6112s are made for 2nd gens, and yes, I have a nearly stock DCSB. 3/8" to 1/2" in about 6 weeks? That's what I was looking for, and will be very happy if it ends up there.

Yeah, the increase after adding the new rear shocks puzzle both my mechanic and me. Winch went on right after installing the 5160s. The new struts were installed a couple weeks after that. It could be that the winch cantilevered the rear up a bit, but the more I think about it, it's very likely that I wrote down the wrong numbers when I made the original measurement.

Mine settled about 3/8"-1/2", but keep in mind that mine are the 2nd gen ones on a 2nd gen. Since your have a 3rd gen, it may be closer to 3/8" since your suspension geometry is different.

Since these are popular with Icon RXT,

    what are the best settings?
    I’m guessing medium/level 2 rear

    which clip up front?
For decent lift but also good alignment and reducing harsh ride or shock bottoming
    Have UCAs

First off.....Good choice to go with the Icon RXT's. They may be a little more than the ARB Dakars but they are sooooooo much better. The greatest thing about the icons, is that they are modular. You can go ahead and set them to whatever stage works best for your truck. To change them from one stage to a different stage takes about three hours of work for both sides total. I am assuming that you have a 2nd gen DCSB correct? To fully answer your question about what clip to use in the front, and what stage to use in the rear, really depends upon the aspect of how much weight you are carrying both the front and the back. What type of lift are you looking for? What type of weight do you have in the front? What type of weight are you consistently carrying in the back? It will give us a better idea of a recommendation for you for what clip to use in the front and stage in the rear.

Can I pair the 6112 and 5160s with the Icon RXT if I don't keep more than 50lbs in the bed during the week? I like the modular concept of the RXT for future purchases and I imagine that it will have a better ride than using an AAL.

wondering the same here. RXT most minimum setting claims it’s for less lift and no weight, but I saw one post saying the leaves “flatten quickly” when ran in that configuration - not sure what that means…

Yes you can, just make sure that you are not putting anything in the bed and setting the RXT'S to stage 3 and really ass high. I installed 5160s with RXT'S on Stage 2 on another members truck (dclb) and he doesn't carry anything in the bed. Just remember to cycle your rear suspension so it is not topping out and it would be a good idea to get a good set of bumpstops for bottoming out. Even if you set it on stage 1 for a smaller lift in the rear, I also recommend bumpstops in your distant future just in case. You will love the combo.

I have the 6112/5160 combo and am running the RXT on option 2 with no weight in the bed. The 5160s are the limiting factor at full droop so I am considering limit straps to prevent topping out the shocks. I upgraded bump stops all around. On my TRD OR DCLB I am at 24" hub to fender in the rear. Rides nice empty and squats 1" when I hitch up the trailer with 450 lb tongue weight. I have the 6112s on 5/4 with the 600 lb springs and am at 21.5" up front. I have BAMF sliders with fill plates and the BAMF skid trilogy weighing me down. I am going to put the 650 lb springs up front to gain another 1/2" and will likely go to 6/5 when I add a hybrid bumper and winch later this year.

I have the same truck and am running the duractracs as well. I’m really wanting the 6112/5160 kit. I’m waiting for shocksurplus to come back in stock. I will eventually get a front bumper and winch but it may not be for a few months. Undecided if I should order the standard 600 lb springs or the 650#? Also not sure which circlip position 5/4 or 6/5? I guess that would depend on the coil poundage too. I’m gonna have a shop install. Will get an AAL and new UCAs. Just don’t know which I should order. Since the weight will come after the suspension (bumper winch, skids, Rolf rack). The way supply chains are I figured I’d just want it earlier than later even if I don’t get it installed for a bit.

i imagine their higher front spring rate option is for a steel front bumper

Yeah same. Not sure which bumper / winch set up I’ll go with in the future. Will probably be steel but I guess worst case I could upgrade coils to the 650# when I get the bumper and run standard 600# coil until then.

regardless of which bumper I’m betting all steel bumpers will add weight versus the stock front bumper cover which is plastic

Agreed just don’t know if that warrants the 650 coils from the start. Ideally I know you should do it all together but trying to do it bit by bit while keeping $$ in the bank. I’m on stock 4600 bilsteins now and I think this set up would be a big upgrade. Just don’t know if it’ll be a bitch to swap out coils to the 650# later if - when I get the front bumper. I’m gonna have a shop install so I wouldn’t really want to pay twice for the suspension install. Just talking out loud here.

Thanks bro. It may make more sense to just order the 650# even if I have them installed down the road vs having to swap out the 600#s after a few months

That is lucky. There’s one super solid off road place near me but I know they’re not cheap so I’d rather just save my $ and go 650 from the start. I may just not put them on for a while since I still don’t own a front bumper and winch. If supply chains weren’t so bad I’d just wait

You have a front bumper or winch? Think I’m gonna do the same 650 w 5/4 circlip position

Nah not yet, also I remeasured a couple days ago for front and back measurements on level ground and I'm 22.5 front 23.5 rear, half inch difference but still

I decided to add the unbalanced weight, like the winch and bumper, first so I could measure the effect on the truck's suspension. Then chose the settings to lift everything. Only thing to do now is possibly a little increase the rear lift, add rock sliders and increase the tire size to 265x75-16. This is about as far as I want to go with this upgrade.

I went with a lighter winch setup. With 130sh lbs added to the front, my mechanic and others thought that the 650 lbs springs would stiffen the front up too much. They recommended staying with the 600 lbs springs unless adding a full steel bumper and winch.

Regardless, you should be happy with the new setup.

This is where I am now
