That sucks, I ordered from Headstrong and everything was packaged nicely and wrapped. I’m sure who ever delivers also has a part in it luckily my delivery driver took care of mine when delivered.

Try a call or email to Bilstein direct and get some good advise.

    https://www.bilstein.com/us/en/about-us/locations-and-contact/

My 6112s were purchased and assembled from Wheelers offroad and sent to me in the clocked position as shown mounted on my Taco. I highly doubt you called them. You are just lying to cover your poor assembly and install and the problems that resulted.

You put everything together wrong or with limited knowledge and skill to follow directions. You are finally admitting to most of it.

I’m taking it to a shop for that. Bilstein can’t evaluate a coilover from photos and actually tell me what’s wrong. I’ve already gotten technical advice on why the gasket might be protruding from someone experienced who has seen this before. I’m simply going to have the top hat reseated on the coil.

Edit: the only reason I thought it was useful to contact Bilstein was to keep incorrect information from being promulgated on the forum. You certainly weren’t going to take my word for it.

Looks like you already got your answer (sorry, I've been off the forums for the majority of today), but I will tell you that my PERSONAL experience with Bilstein tech support is they will answer the phone. That's about as far as I have gotten. What's the length of this spring, what's this spring rate...Etc. Standard questions for the product manufacturer IMO. We always circle around to the same answer "I don't have that available to me. All of the information is on cart.bilsteinus.com". Well, I already looked there so... Always end up figuring things out by tearing them apart or googling around. It's pretty disappointing.

Installed 6112/5160's today. 6112's at 4/3 setting, no lift in back. Installed by myself in about 4 hours.

This suspension system drives amazing! I'm surprised. No vibes or noises. Can't wait to get some Method 701's to complete the look I'm going for.

Thank you! No vibes. I am going to replace the needle bearing with the ECGS bushing soon, just for peace of mind, but as of now i don't have any vibrations or weird noises. It's running great.

We haven't seen any yet here at Hotshot HQ... Just over here sitting on our hands like... :tumbleweed:

Bilstein has missed the last 2 "promised" ETAs for at least our orders (2/19 & 3/23). The date they have now provided is 4/9. Methinks they are reworking the 6112 lineup with a new feature or two + a price increase for the line. One of the distributors we work with got a "discontinued" notification from Bilstein on the 05-15 & 16+ Tacoma kits, but didn't provide a new SKU.

I don't actually know what's going on, but :tinfoilhat:

Decided on 6112/5160, going for 3/2 settings.
Would there be any benefit of using King 550lbs springs instead of the Bilstein 600lbs that come with them? Im sure it would mess with the lift results.

No extra weight than stock. Looking for best option for 95% on road daily driver.
