I saw that and thanks for the info on your setup. Do you have a hub to fender measurement at 6 with the 10mm spacer? I'm thinking at 6/6 with the driver spacer I will only be at 22" with all the weight. I guess that will be OK. When I tow the rear with the RXT on option 2 comes down 1" from 24" to 23" and the front comes up 0.5" If that stays the same then towing I will with the new setup I will be at 23" rear 22.5" front so still a slight rake which I prefer.

Im at 23 3/8" up front and 23 straight up in the rear. I dont have any weight light you do... yet. I am planning on tossing in a full leaf pack in the rear for a bit more lift and to compensate for the RTT and topper I have on order

What made you go with the 650 pound spring? It doesn't look like you have much weight? What net lift did this setup give you?

I am looking to do the same but with the 600# springs and an Icon RXT option 2 in the back. I have about 250 pounds on the back with a camper shell and some odds and ends and and 150 pound sliders and a Prinsu roof rack. So about 450 pounds generally 2/3rd distributed to back and 1/3 up front. I am torn on 600# or 650#. I read the 650 are for 100 to 150 pounds extra weight "on front bumper". I figure with my weight distribution, the front and back should sag just about equally.

Great, just when I had settled in on clip 5/4 for 1.5" on the Offroad DCLB. Now do I go for 1.7" or 1.4"?

I am leaning towards sticking with the 600# springs despite some extra weight but 2/3rd towards back. So if I stick with 600# at 1.7" and it sags a bit, I should get around the 1.5" I am looking for.

Hey guys, so I was curious what you guys thought. I carry a tool box with about 300 pounds of tools daily in the bed of my truck. I purchased an Icon RXT leaf pack and plan to do the second setting. Now my issue is, does having the 6112’s in on 5/6 have any downsides or should I look at Fox 2.5 coilovers without reservoirs for about $400-$500 more? My goal is to get 2”-2.5” of lift in the front.

Wonder why so many settings that can’t be used on the low end on any model…

My understanding is the max you will get with the 6112s is 2". Maybe if you go 650# spings instead of the 600# it will get you another 0.5". You might need new UCAs if you do that.

So, what is the consensus on the accuracy of the 6112 circlip setting guidance from Bilstein install instructions (for 3rd gen trucks) ? some seem to come in considerably higher ... of course there could also be msmt accuracy issues..

Bilstein 6112's 5th clip 1/4" spacer driver's side. Icon tubular UCA's with Delta joint, wheelers superbumps, ECGS bushing. Allpro standard leaf packs, 5160's, U bolt flip kit with wheelers super bump's, extended stainless steel brake lines, carrier bearing drop. Icon rebounds 17" with Nitto terra grappler G2's 285/70/17's.
In my case I got more lift than advertised. I set mine to 5/5 with a 1/4" spacer on the driver's side for lean. I got 2 1/2" after allowing for settling. Around 5000mi since the lift. Hope this helps.

    What does "msmt" stand for?

I think part of the challenge is there are other factors than just the circlip settings used"
    • Additional weight that people don't always report or report accurately
    • What model since there is a difference in what B publishes
    • Before and after measurement accuracy
This is anecdotal based on all the damn threads I have read, but most people at stock weight appear to get a little more at first and after settling they get about what is published.

The challenge I am having is trying to estimate based on added weight on my OR DCLB. While I have no added weight on the bumper (stock front bumper and no winch and don't plan to add one), but I do have rock sliders, a prinsu rack, an ARE shell, a bed mat, and some tools and recovery gear in the backseat storage. It is hard to gauge the final result.

If you are 100% stock I would expect slightly more than published.

thanks BK - good thoughts. and by msmt I meant measurement . same challenge, I'm an OR AC with sliders and a Leer 180 aiming for 1" up front and 1.5" rear (via progressive AAL) realtive to how it sits now. Probably add another 200 + lbs when loaded for extended camping. back n forth between 2/3 and 3/4.

Got it. My challenge as well. Trying to get ~1.5" up front with a 1" rake with the weight I have added so it is level when I add in camping gear. My mind changes daily. The new version of the 6112s with the 11 ciclip positions certainly didn't help! If you don't pull the trigger soon you will likely end up with the new version with new settings.

Assume current version, I am leaning towards the 5/4 setting but really torn on the 600# springs or going up to the 650#. Afraid with the weight I won't get the advertised 1.5". But worried if I go 650# I get too much!

I'm not the handiest of people so I need to pay for labor and would like to do it just once, but am realizing I have to take a swing and accept that I may need to make adjustments.

Like I posted above I’m on old 6112’s on the 4/5 setting and got 2 inches on stock weight with 600 lb coils. It’s been well over couple thousand miles and hasn’t changed yet. I’m fairly new to all this and originally wanted only 1.5 up front but am actually happy with the 2. I’ve read others say they got more than 2 with the top settings so I’m sure this will add to the confusion.

So I ordered a pair from Wheeler's Off Road a week ago and told them to put the clip at the max setting #6/#5 because I wanted to get a decent lift without adding UCAs. I just installed them yesterday and I didn't gain that much height but I didn't realize until after I read about these new styles to realize they didn't put the clip as high as I wanted it. Looking at pics I took before the install definitely shows more grooves to go higher. Any ideas what I should do? IMG_5939.jpg IMG_5901.jpg IMG_5963.jpg
