Bilstein 6112's 5th clip 1/4" spacer driver's side. Icon tubular UCA's with Delta joint, wheelers superbumps, ECGS bushing. Allpro standard leaf packs, 5160's, U bolt flip kit with wheelers super bump's, extended stainless steel brake lines, carrier bearing drop. Icon rebounds 17" with Nitto terra grappler G2's 285/70/17's.
If you told them #6/5 setting that's what they're going to do. Those guys do what the customer says. I see they put the extended top hat bolts on your coilovers. If it was me, I'd put 1/2" spacers on for an extra 1". Easy to do and there's nothing wrong with (small) spacers. It's what I did, on purpose to adjust for lean and to tweak for lift. Any higher and you'll need UCA's. Hope this helps.

@CemenTRDgen I popped some 3rd Gen Taco 6112s out of the box and took some measurements for you. *These are not formal measurements just a guy with a tape measure.*

Measurements taken from center of lower eyelet to end of piston where lower washer would sit:
    Extended: 21.75"
    Compressed: 17.00"

Thanks for this. I'm really not sure why Bilstein does not publish these measurements anywhere. I am just wanting to confirm the maximum top plate spacer I can run on the 6112s without bottoming them out. I am running the superbumps, and I can add a spacer to the bumps if needed. I want to be at 22.5" hub to fender and also want to limit sacrificing down travel as much as possible. Right now I am at 21.5" on 5/4 and I love the ride quality. When I add a hybrid bumper and winch that will be about another 200 lbs. I am hoping 650 lb springs will offset that weight. I will still want to add another 1" of lift. 1/2" top plate spacers on both sides should give that extra inch, or changing the clips to 6/5 with 1/4" spacers, or clips at 5/5 and 1/4" passenger and 1/2" driver spacer. From what I can find a 1/2" top plate spacer should be OK, and I can add 1/4" spacers to the superbumps if needed for some insurance. Based on the numbers you gave above the collapsed length of the 6112 is 0.6" shorter than the stock 4600s and the 5100s so 1/2" spacer would still leave some margin to not bottom out the 6112 on compression.

Hey, that's my post! I contacted Wheelers and they gave me the options of a small refund so I can have a local shop make the adjustment or send them back for them to adjust to the 2" lift settings.

I wish I had the same luck as you. I called them yesterday, explained the situation to them and they pretty much said there's nothing they can do and to take it to a shop to have them adjusted. Cheapest price I found around town was $250 so yeah this whole thing sucks

I’d ask for a refund citing wrong item sent as the part number received is different than the part number referenced on their website.

Are there any local TW members near you? I got so sick of using those dangerous bolt style compressors I bought a stand/hydraulic type compressor for $100 several years ago. Takes literally 5 mins to remove spring. Surely someone in San Diego can help you.

The one I got is no longer available but this one seems to be identical.

How could they give him 6/5 when the 6112s he got have 11 positions? He did not get what he asked for. They should have realize this and asked the customer what setting he wanted out of 11.

I completely agree that they should have noticed that something was wrong during assembly. It is also pretty shitty that Bilstein just made a rolling change to the product that is a significant change IMO without notifying anyone. They went completely quiet on the subject altogether, missed months of ETAs, etc.

Should be less than $100. If you were in my area I would do it for you for FREE! (Well maybe a few beers!)

I would post on the appropriate regional page and see if there’s anyone who can do this for you for a reasonable price, such as @Superdave1.0

Edit: if you want to play hardball you could pursue a credit card chargeback with the vendor. You did not receive what you ordered.

$250 is steep. I'm in the Long Beach area. I own a wall mounted spring compressor. If you bring the shocks off the truck, can adjust them for $60 /pair.

yeah, that's the way to do it, I only used my hydraulic compressor once so far but even then its worth it vs those damn bolts type.

Anyone here with a 3rd gen have the 6112s on 5th and 6th notch and 1/4” spacers on both sides for 2.5” lift in front?

There website doesn't even allow for the higher settings. Wheeler F'd up and should fix it. What? The guy setting the circlip settings didn't realize there were suddenly 5 new mounting positions and think to ask the boss? hey something is wrong here sir, shouldn't we call contact the customer?

It’s one thing to screw up the order, it’s another entirely to refuse to make it right.

Especially not cool when they are a smallerish shop and get a lot of traction on this forum.
