Bilstein 6112's 5th clip 1/4" spacer driver's side. Icon tubular UCA's with Delta joint, wheelers superbumps, ECGS bushing. Allpro standard leaf packs, 5160's, U bolt flip kit with wheelers super bump's, extended stainless steel brake lines, carrier bearing drop. Icon rebounds 17" with Nitto terra grappler G2's 285/70/17's.
I think they should fix it too. I can only relate my experience with them when I ordered mine at the end of October last year. They told me everything was assembled and shipped at their warehouse off-site and what was in the work order was exactly what the warehouse would do. I was concerned because I wanted 5/5 setting and their website said only 6/5. Everything I ordered came in 7 days later and was perfect. Hotshot off-road said Bilstein never notified them of any changes and that's probably what happened to Wheelers too. They probably didn't know. They should try and make it right for the people that ordered from them and didn't know about the changes either.

hey guys, I got my 6112/5160/med. dakar/JBA UCAs installed october 2018. Lately I've been driving way more, and looking to bring things down a bit for a more stockish/mild setup for better mpg and daily driver comfort. Also will be downsizing my tires (currently on 33's). I'm planning on returning the UCAs and leafs to stock (and selling the JBAs and Dakars). If I want to get the same lift as a trd pro (pre- '22 since the 22's are lifted a half inch more).... what notch settings would the 6112s be at? I'm Currently at 6/5 and I'm not sure which "gen" I have. I think it was the newer one when I bought them in 2018.

That brings me to my next question. This suspension has about 60-70k road/highway miles (no offroad, really) and the truck has been a "dad mobile" and somewhat babied. I would assume they are definitely settled by now. So would this change the notch settings I choose? And is it worth it to even do this instead of getting new suspension? I'm looking to save a little money instead of buying all new shocks and I'm just not sure what kind of mileage people are getting for these things and what lifespan I have. Any help greatly appreciated!

I'm sure they are settled. Your setting today give you 2". I think it would help others help if you posted your measurements on all 4 wheel from hub to bottom of fender flare.

Below are the notch settings and different heights. Sounds like 4/3, or 3/2 is what you are more looking for. I think the bigger challenge you have is what is your current rake with the dakar leafs and what do you want when those are removed AND you adjust the notch settings.

Curious are you getting ready to sell and want it more stock, or is it all about daily driver efficiency? What sort of MPG are you getting now? How much do your 33's weigh? Those are probably the biggest culprit to your MPGs but I could be wrong. Why not take those off first and go back to stock size and see what the result is. Baby steps before making 4 or 5 changes at once?

thanks, so to answer your questions... I want it better for DD and also plan to sell in a year or 2... OR run it into the ground. Depends on the market. Regarding rake, Isn't the trd pro (pre-2022) rake the same if I put back on my stock leafs and had 1" upfront? If so, I'd be good with that considering toyota is. I can take those measurements today.

My understanding is stock has a 1" rake. 1" up front would make you level (assuming no weight beyond stock).

Question on predicting how much lift you will got on the 6112 with the 600# springs they come with. I have some added weight about 450 pounds all around (rock sliders, Prinsu rack, ARE Shell).

Took measurements from stock suspension front:
    1. I've lost ~0.25" to 0.5" in front from the stock 21" hub to fender flare (currently at 20.75" on passenger, 20.5" on driver)
If I set the 6112s at the 6/5 perch for 2", would I expect to be at 22.5" on passenger since it is perch 5 and 22.5" on driver since it is perch 6? Net from stock would be 1.5" because of the added weight?

Alternatively, if I went down one notch and used the 650# springs, would I expect to net the same?

Then the pros are level then? The pros have same leafs as OR

Most of these posts are about ride height rather than ride quality. Wondering how these will be on dirt roads compared to 5100s. Right now the right feels a little stiff when off-road with 5100s/885

My truck rides VERY well, both on-road and off. With this setup, I can cruise over the washboards now at a descent speed without my teeth chattering out. :D

What circlip settings are you on and any additional weight? Did you do an add-a-leaf, new leaf pack, or is it stock leaf springs?

About to makes some purchases and decisions!

I’m at the lowest setting. I still got about a 1.25” lift and was fine w/ that. I did not replace the any of the leafs. I have a shell, but no other weight other than what’s in the bed. If I do replace the leafs, I’ll do an entire new set, rather than AAL. But, for being 7 years old, my stock leafs are still doing ok. It sags a bit when I’m loaded to go camping, but nothing crazy. At the same time, I went up to 270/17’s and it looks so much better than with 265’s.

Are questions about the rears, 5160s allowed in this thread?? :D

I'll be installing a pair this weekend. whats the purpose of the brake line bolt spacer? Is it still required if you have extended brake lines?

I'll be replacing 5100s, on a stock leaf spring with a 3 Leaf Progressive AAL added. Any advice for the install would be appreciated!

If you have extended rear lines you likely won't need to install the spacer. It's meant to take a bit of tension out of the lines when the suspension is extended. It can't hurt though.

I only ask about the spacer because I'm not sure I have it. I bought the shocks used, haven't gone through the box to see if the seller included it or not.

Is the spacer included with the 5160's?

HotShot Offroad everything is here except the 6112s getting delivered today and the UCAs which we discussed. Can't wait the rear end on my Tacoma sags more than my rear end! I was going to hold off on getting the 32" tires until the fall but I think I'm going straight from the suspension upgrade to new the 32s installed and get the alignment done on the same day.

    It sure is included!

Hopefully those arms get to our shop in the next couple of days, and we'll get them spun right out!
