I rub on the pinch welds on hard bumps. Pretty sure if they are pounded or cut and welded, I would be fine.

Hahah… No rush man! However this new rear end setup has me questioning whether or not to put my sway bar back in cause it’s so cush! Can’t imagine how it’ll be with the new front coilovers!

I had to search all over but found them at Off Road Warehouse. Their Mesa, AZ store had a couple left. They all show out of stock now, though.

My time to ask a question, after reading at least 100 pages of this thread and still not sure exactly what I need.

3rd gen 4x4 DCSB. Only permanent weight right now is sliders, but I add RTT+camping gear when we go on trips that's probably ~300-350lbs over the rear...

    - 6112 up front on 5/4 for 1.5" lift, 600# springs.
    - 5160 with Icon RXT Option 1 for 1.875" lift.

Shouldn't "need" UCAs, but probably upgrade down the road for increased droop. Probably don't need new bumps either. Might as well do the ECGS bushing at the same time though.

I don't want to increase my rake over 1.5", and if anything I'd prefer to be closer to level. I also don't want to slam off the bump stops with a couple hundred pounds in the bed, even if that means being a bit stiff empty.

Am I on the right track? Missing anything?

Imo I would go option 2.

you are on the right track, but…

you said sliders is only weight for now? What else you planning to do? I would add what you plan to do than do the upgrade last.

RTT? Where do you mount it? You must have some rack that adds weight? Do you only put it in when going camping or is it going to be permanent?

Bump stops. An upgrade like durabumps is relatively I expensive. Get them now.

UCAs are debatable. I only did 1.5” as well but I read enough reviews where others did the same but called the ride squirrelly. The replaced UCAs and rode much better.

I would also go with option 2. I do have 200#s permanent in the bed with a topper shell, but when I camp I camp light. I would say about 150-200 pounds added weight for 350-400 total. I am not level but aomewhat close. I think with option 1 you will sag.

there isn’t any sure fire way to get this right on the first try. If you removed your camping gear from the equation I would say you were spot on. Add the camping gear and that is where option 1 vs 2 comes into play as well as upgrading the bump stops.

for the record I had to do it twice in the front . I did 10/8 (new version) and didn’t get 1.7” as advertised in front. Had to upgrade to 650 springs to get it where I wanted.

if you really only add 300+ pounds when camping, you can do option 1 but just be prepared for it to end up sagging a little. You just never know for sure until you do it.

if in doubt research some more and think about other weight you might add.

I feel like the rake would be too intense, as that would be +2" in the rear +1.5" in the front, adding .5" to the existing factory rake. I guess the benefit is I can just go up to Option 2 if I bottom out a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. Realistically the only new weight would be a skid set. Would love bumpers + tire carrier and winch but probably not any time soon in reality. I figure if I end up getting those in a couple years, I can get 650# or 700# springs then and enjoy a couple years of better fit with 600#

RTT is mounted level with the cab on custom bed bars that only weigh ~40# total, and none of that weight stays on permanently. Just for camping season.

How did you even get the "new version" of the 6112s? Every dealer I see apparently only has the old ones because you don't even get an option over perch 6.

There is no difference in ride they just accommodated more settings to dial in ride height a little more.

I’m Batman! I wanted the extra settings because I was afraid of the end result so I found a dealer that had them in stock.

Go for it. I don’t know that anyone is 100% certain they are going to be happy with the end result in the first try. As long as you are open minded to know you may need to redo it, you are good.

We've got the 11-position ones here in stock at Hotshot Offroad which is where @BattleKat snagged his from

I'm not sure what Bilstein is doing with the 2 different SKUs, but they use the exact same spring, and we got a hold of Bilstein's valving spec sheets and the shock is spec'd the same except for one having 11 notches and another having 6. I'm assuming they'll phase out the 6-notch variation as they run out of 6-notch bodies, but not completely sure :notsure:

Here's the fitment sheet for the new ones - This leads me to believe that down the road they won't even have a 2nd and 3rd gen specific 6112 kit.:

Awesome, thank you! It sounds like the 10/8 perch would be perfect to retain the factory rake with Icon RXT Option 1 and no extra weight in the bed...

Any negative reports about ride quality or lack of downtravel being at 10/8?

I am just waiting on my bonus check to get it all ordered and it looks like I found my supplier!

We honestly haven't had anyone circle back and indicate that they were experiencing issues with that at all.

Can you share the valving specs for the 6112’s? I’ve been curious since I got mine and have never been able to find the data.
