No issues for me on 10/8, rides like a dream.

    Two notes:
    1. I did upgrade to durabump bumps stops. @memario1214 was my source there as well. I think they are worth it but I could not say for certain how much they are getting hit or what the diff would be if I had left it stock. I don't offroad that hard but thought it was worthwhile.
    2. I think you said you had sliders. I have them as well, about 150 pounds. With the stock 600# springs I only got about ~1" of lift vs. the advertised 1.7". This was a major bummer. I had anticipated this might happen and also ordered those upfront. Swapped them out a few days later and it got me to ~1.5" in front.
I have no explanation on #2. According to Bilstein specs the sliders should not have made that much difference. Their tech support line confirmed this as well. The 650# shouldn't have been needed. Don't know if there was some other factor me and my mechanic were missing but we were stumped. For the record, I don't notice any more firm ride with the 650# springs vs. 600#. Both rode/ride great. Only diff was the net lift.

That's very interesting, I wonder why sliders would drag down the front a lot but not the back since they are basically in between the axles. Good to know, maybe I should go 650 from the start since I may add more weight but definitely won't be losing any weight.

Can you post up some more pics of your rig?

Here's what the data sheet reads -
    255/110 - This is Rebound/Compression
Units are measured in Lbs @ 10"/Second of velocity.

Do with this what you will.

I need to fix our listings, but if you were to order these you would get the 11-position boys that we have in stock!
    https://hotshotoffroad.com/collecti...s/bilstein-6112-coil-strut-combo-16-22-tacoma

The thing that's annoying is that Bilstein hasn't formally stated that they will stop making the 6-position ones so it's hard to "remove" the listing.

Agree it was totally bizarre. I think it is just the unpredictability. I'm not great with a camera but below is the main post I made with before and after with the 600 pound springs. Not sure I posted any with the 650. the 650 looks way better. Direct link here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bilstein-6112.421995/page-292#post-27400043

So you can see the before pic where the added weight I am pretty much level. The after wide shot you can tell it is lifted but doesn't to the rake I had justice. It was too much rake. My neighbor's girlfriend walked by, looked at it and said it looked like a stink-bug.

The 650# gave me another ~0.5" in front and you wouldn't think it would matter but it made it look more natural. I totally appreciate your concern on doing option 2 in the rear now that I think about it after revisiting.

Thanks for the link. I assume they're compatible with 05-15 as well? or no?

any input as to why the 11 position is better? is literally a "this one goes to 11!!" thing, or is there some other benefit to those extra rings? Seems like if they lifted it more than the #6 on the previous models, it would cause issues?

It's not better. It's just essentially a re-imagining of the same product. Notch 11 on the new shocks is no higher than notch 6 on the old ones. Think of it this way... There is now a notch in between every notch on the 6 version. I'll assume they did this to open up more granular adjustability and to additionally allow them to produce/sell/use the same shock for more applications.

got it, I'm just imagining the engineers going "BUT NOW IT GOES TO ELEVEN!!"

do you know if its the same part for the 05-15 as for the 16+? They're the same suspension, right?

    makes sense though. thanks!

In years past they did not share the same part number, but on this new version via that sheet I shared they are both supported, and we have sold this kit to both generations without issue. I don't have legacy valving specs to be able to compare and contrast the values, but the rumor mill I believe always used to say that the 16+ shocks were slightly firmer then the 05-15.

I just thought I was chilling with tequila and tacos today… Not only did Colton offer a great deal but was even nice enough to label each of them so I don’t have to count the rings! Well played sir…

Hey, looking for a little help in the rust belt.

I'm looking for replacement bushing for lower 6112.
Was replacing my LCAs and passenger side is seized :angrygirl:

Sleeve just spins with the bolt. Going to let it sit in kroil overnight and I'll cut and press out the old bolt.
    Thanks in advance :hattip:

I don’t recall the part number but they are same the lower bushings that are in the 2015 TRD Pro that came with Bilsteins.

Well, tequila and tacos won last night so knocked out the front today. Took about an hour and a half with cleaning and “hydrating” along the way. Almost shit myself when I got it on the ground but after doin some local side street rallying she calmed down, thankfully!

How long are you guys waiting to allow for settling before alignment? My OME’s I gave 100 miles and they settled another 1/2” after.

I probably didn't go more than 100 miles and mine haven't sagged at all since day 1. Biggest settling was driving from my mechanic's shop to home and that was only in the front. I got my alignment about a week later, no sag since then.
