King 2.5’s with adjusters from accutune front and rear, 88 rotors rear add a leaf, Camburg X-joint UCA’s, Factory style trd pro 16” wheels with 0 offset, 285/75/16 KO2’s, pro grille, Front bumper viper cut, trd front skid plate, full RCI under skid plates, Cali raised trail sliders, exhaust cut dump, KDMax 10.0 tune
If I run the #10 / #8 setting on the 6112s, would I be able to clear 285/75/16s on a 0 offset rim??

Yes, but you'll need to be prepared to do some plastic trimming in the wheel well and likely the cab mount chop as well.

That's a good point. Will probably go with FOX Performance Elite 2.5's instead.

    8112’s are also an option.

That's not true at all. I'm running 725# springs with 5100 on the 2nd clip and it is even more comfortable than many other higher end shock setups out there that I have personally driven and compared (on road in Houston). I spoke to Bilstein and eibach to figure out the rates and clip settings for my weight. That's not saying my setup is the best, but optimal for my particular setup. Granted I only have 2" of lift (it was 3" before armor) and understand that was part of having so much gear.

If it's any additional consolation, I've ran this setup for 3 years and 150,000 miles across many states and off-roading parks. They're about to be replaced though and I can tell you that the valving is perfect for heavy springs if you have ample weight.

Anyone switch from the 5100's to 6112? Worth the switch?

I have 5100/887s on my truck now and a set of 6112/650lb springs in a box waiting for a weekend when I am not busy. The 5100/88x in my opinion absolutely fantastic for an un armored truck. They ride way better than stock and the lift is great. Once I added armor however the springs suited for 5100s cant keep up. I have lost about an inch of lift but I have also added full skids, sliders, low profile bumper, and a winch. Dont get me wrong it still drives nice and is great but breaking I get some nose dive and the loss of an inch bothers me.

I have yet to ride with 6112's but from what I hear they are a dream with armor involved.

I'm about to pick up the 5100/887/5160 setup second hand with no plans of putting on armor for now. Seems like its not worth the upgrade given my application.

If your truck neve leaves the pavement or only sees stone roads/service roads. 5100s are the way to go.

With the old settings i was looking at doing a 2/1 to keep the factory rake and lift. Now I just want to level the front with no lift in the rear, what settings will accomplish that?

Went through this whole ordeal myself. Now these are the measurements from the ground to the top of the wheel wells on the driver side on my 2017 DCSB 2wd tacoma. Originally I was going with a 2in coilover in the front and nothing in the back. Hopefully, the springs settling down would make the squat less noticeable. Keep in mind 95% is road use and I don't have any static weight in the bed.
    Front (34in)
    Rear (35 1/2in)

For me, yes. My primary motivation is a decent towing suspension. Light trails are a tertiary priority, behind commuting/dailying. For my use, I liked the idea of 6112s.

Sumo springs or airbags in the back for towing?

Just installed 6112s at 10/8 setting (600lb spring) and have 2” of lift after a week and an alignment, with just the TRd front aluminum skid plate.

Measurements with a full tank of gas are 22.75” drivers and just under 23” passenger side.

Rear is the Icon RXT stage 3 leaf pack and 5160 shocks. With 275 pounds worth of topper and bed platform I’m at 24.5 driver side and 24.75 passenger with a full tank of gas.

1.75” of rake is perfect so I can add weight without brolean. The 250 pounds of stock wheels and tires only sagged the rear by 1/4”. The truck drives nice and smooth with a more planted feel than 5100s, stock front springs and 3 pack add a leaf. 9790438D-831E-46A8-AC12-C3BDD26BB8BB.jpgloving the derped 4Runner wheels with 255/80r17 Falken at tires. Looking forward to checking for rubbing once I can hit some trails this weekend!
