Is it possible to get 2.5 inch lift on 6112 for a 3rd gen and maintain good ride quality?

Poor ride quality on road is more effected by little to no downtravel, rather than more preload/heavier coils. I personally wouldn't lift these trucks more than 2" in the front. At 2.5", you are pretty far extended at the shock.

Yeah initially that’s all I wanted but don’t shocks settle? So I’ll eventually end up with less than 2 inches.

Coilovers dont usually settle like leaf springs do, unless you add more weight.

Im lifted like 2.25" a notch 6/6 with a 10mm driver side shim. Id say my RQ is pretty good. Ive got no complaints about it

Circlip location. Taco lean per se. Bilstein recommends staggering clip heights side to side so I accounted for it

The “old” 6112s had 6 clip setting, and the “new” ones have 11. Double-check your settings with the new lift charts so it turns out the way you expect.

Finally got my 6112’s installed last weekend a new wheels & tires installed today. Overall I’m REALLY happy with how it turned out and this thread was a huge help in figuring out what I wanted to do. I ended up going with the 10/8 c-clip setting, JBA’s, Icon AAL, and 5100’s. Had a minor rub on the driver’s side rear fenderwell, but the heat gun has taken care of it.

I put my 6112/5100's on back in April of this year along with a Torch Offroad AAL (6/6 circlip old style), still on stock uppers and lowers but have a 0 Offset Fuel Blitz (16x8) with a Nitto Ridgegrappler LT285/75r16 E Load, ya ya I know heavy tire, ride quality blah blah blah, but honestly, it still drives amazing, I do get a bit of bumpsteer on the big bumps from I40 (ones a lowered car would bottom out on) but its manageable, but fuel economy could be a lot worse, i do have OTT on it and in the hills of TN im still getting 16mpg measuring from ground to fender it's about a 3-inch lift now.

    Stock 33's
    35 1/8 | 35 7/8 38 5/8 | 38 3\4
    37 3/8 | 36 39 1/4 | 39

Sure! The 6112 kit comes with springs but if you wanted to step up to the 650lb springs it would just be the addl cost for the new springs. Assembly would still be reduced.
