Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
Also I have the 650# springs.

Installed these on my second gen today, through RockAuto these were much cheaper and easier than trying to track down another pair of the TRD Baja shocks I had previously (were leaking badly after years of abuse). I had them assembled at 10/8 to try to level it out with the 1.5" AAL in the rear, but it now looks slightly nose high to me. I also noticed my inner CV boots starting to rub. Looks like these have to be removed to adjust down a notch so I will just hope they settle...

Correct, you have to compress them to drop or raise the circlips.

y'all hear bout them new OME MT64's?

    2.8" vs the 2.3" size of 6112

sounds like the new Ultimate Shit

    bilstein vs ome.png

    Actually...
    upon further research...
from retailer they show approx $2400 total front and rear
for factory travel locations. Aluminum. No reservoir. Etc.

    I guess not then.

Sounds a little too close to a front/rear set of accutune'd Fox 2.5 adj resi
    (longer in back w/ relo)
    without the benefits of that

I've been looking at these. I'm pretty much decided on just going with 6112's. I just wish Bilstein made a 6112 equivalent for rear shocks (I have 2024 4Runner). I can't remember off the top of my head right now, but I read a few posts of people having issues with MT64's and OME saying they needed to make a few changes to them.

can't say I've had any issues with 6112
they may not ride the best. But you get what you pay for.
And I've only noticed any "non magical ride" quality upon entering areas of the US that have a reputation for real bad roads, so it may simply be the road.

IDK if previous 4runner gen rear "6112" (5160) would fit your '24
or if it is different in which case, I imagine Bilstein will probably come out with one, will simply be a little matter of time
and if not yet already done, you could potentially see if they want to use your vehicle for testing/development that can result in getting a good deal

Can anyone post a pic of their truck on the 9/7 settings? And how does it ride? Would 8/6 ride better?

I am considering 5160's, but I've heard from a few people they had issues with leaking. From what I understand 5160s are just a 5100 with a reservoir, but I'm not sure if there's anything else different about them.

What did you end up paying for those 8100's? And where did you get them? I've been trying to find a decent priced set but it seems difficult.

    Here is your answer.
I bought them from Hotshot and it was right around $1500 total shipped to my door.

Anyone have experience with the Bilstein warranty on 6112s ? Both mine have some leaking going on ,dripping down onto my Total Chaos UCAs . I do not off-road.
warranty says Limited Lifetime It says they need to be shipped back I think to the place of purchase? Also it looks like you have to buy the whole coil over not just the shock . ???
    thank you

Anybody else running 7/5 (~1.2in) on their 6112s on a 2nd gen? I’ve only seen about 1-2 people on here running this setup and would like to know if I should expect more lift than advertised up front.

I am running 7/5 on my 3rd gen which gave me right around an inch of lift. Which is about a 1/4" more than advertised so pretty close, my truck is heavy but I am running the 650 springs to compensate.
And after 4 months I am still at the same lift height.

    Hi all

if I am planning to install 6112 on a 2013 Trd pre runner at recommended max lift do I need to also get new UCA’s? I recently installed deaver stage 3 with 5160’s in the rear. Not doing major off-roading just carrying weight (RTT etc)

thanks in advance for your input.

Ideally, yes you want aftermarket UCAs. The stock UCAs won't allow a proper alignment with that much lift.

I've been running 6112s at max height with Camburg arms for 200k miles - I always get a good alignment, and have only normal tire wear.

Just an update. Ended up setting the 6112s at 7/5 on my 2nd gen 4x4 double cab with no extra weight and ended up at around 22-22.25in hub to fender after a few days of settling. This is about .75in higher than I was sitting with a 3rd gen TRD OR takeoff suspension and right around what I was expecting. Super happy with how it rides!IMG_0258.jpg
