Ok, I didn't think about the difference in the shock diameter being a factor. I figured that would be compensated in the spring seat shape. But to my point, there is potentially a spring that would work to achieve the 2.5" of lift from the spring and not from the notches, correct? I don't mean a stiffer/heavier spring load for bumpers, etc. I'm just talking about a taller spring for these shocks. It could all be a snipe hunt, I'm just entertaining a thought I had earlier today.

Yes you could put a longer spring to achieve the 2.5" of lift , but it would not really accomplish anything different than using factory 6112 springs. The 6112 springs are linear, meaning the spring rate stays the same. Some springs are progressive and get stiffer as they are compressed. The factory springs are 600lbs 3" x 14" long if I remember correctly from another thread

Anyone running the 6112 on a ACLB 4cyl? Trying to hit 1.5" front and trying get an idea of what settings people are using without a spacer.

I do not have these yet just getting an idea before purchasing.
    Thanks

IMG_4644.jpg IMG_4645.jpg IMG_4647.jpg After removing and reinstalling the 6112s a few times to try different clip positions, I'm getting pretty good at it! :D It really does go pretty quick once you've gone through it a few times. Of course, it definitely helps that I have access to a spring compressor for free!

I ended up with clip position two (passenger) and clip position three (driver) with a 1/4" spacer on the driver side as well. I tried it without the spacer first since I was using staggered clip positions but I still had the TacoLean. I reinstalled the spacer and it got rid of almost all of the lean except maybe 1/8". I am running a modified Dakar leaf pack in the rear with the third leaf removed. This has resulted in approximately 2" of lift all around. I am a PreRunner and I currently have 1 3/8" rake with this setup. The suspension is definitely working smoother after lowering the front from clip position four.

I haven't totally decided if I like the current amount of rake or if I may want to remove the top overload from the Dakars as well. That would probably drop the rear approximately 5/8" from what I've read. That would leave me with about 3/4" rake which I might prefer. Planning on driving it for a while to let it all settle in before making anymore changes. The pics aren't exactly on level ground but that's all I had available today.

Without a spacer on your AC 4x4 I would say #3 dr and #2 pass side should get you very close to that after it settles. More initially but I've noticed mine has settled another 1/4" after 1 year to now about 1.5 years. To the point I may want to go to #4's with 1/4 dr spacer? but I like about 2.25 - 2.5" lift. Mines sitting at about 2" now, but it rides sweet.

For those of you that are running 5160 rears. Do you know the difference in damping between those and 5100's or 5125's? or at least give me a idea on how they felt after installing. My 5100's are still good but I would like a little heavier damping. I do tow a 3000 - 3500lb RV trailer which has about 450lb tongue and have it loaded up quite a bit so a beefier rear shock and just a little more travel would be sweet.

Still sitting at about 1.5” both sides after 8 months (21.5” hub to fender). That’s on clip 3 with the heavy front bumper. Rear has airbags to keep it at stock height, 22” hub to fender.

Did anyone installed 6112 on second notch? How much actual lift (or hub to fender measure) did you get? Anyone saw a difference in ride from 3rd notch to 2nd notch?

I did, on a '05 Access Cab, V6 TRD Off Road, manual. Did the 6112/5160 after having the leaf spring TSB done and finding rear sitting way too high (about 1.5"). I got right at 1.5" in front with the 6112 set at 2nd clip, and 1/4" spacer driver's side. Truck is/was exactly level F/R and off less than 1/8" driver's side. I have a rear sway bar with adjustable end links and I used it to preload RR side down just a tad to bring LF up to perfectly level. This was all done early spring, seems it may have settled in the rear a tiny bit eyeballing it.

Running some new Falken Wildpeaks in 265/75-16, on the new 2017 anthracite Taco wheels. No rubbing anywhere, still have mudflaps in, looks good IMHO.

Will decide at some point if rear settles anymore to go with a add-a-leaf 3-pack, then maybe bump front up to #3. #2 is tough, hard to find rear height that is not too high or too low. The TSB leafs really had rear riding around way high looking pretty stupid. I hauled quite a lot of firewood out of the forest this summer, figured it would settle more than it did, not sure it will go any lower though.

Love the ride and handling with the susp and new tires, at least in summer conditions. Enormous improvement over stock. Oh truck has right at 75k miles, bought it new in 05. We'll see how the Wildpeaks do in snow, with the new suspension. Don't do a lot of off road but lots of gravel and fire roads, and then of course tons of snow. My house is at 8k ft ASL, SW Colorado mtns.

See my post #813 for some info. Just remember I'm a little lighter up front being a PreRunner.

    5100 standard + Wheelers 5leaf HD pack

On setting 4/3 front D and P are ~22.75 hub to fender
Rear with the pack are also the same height at ~24.5 D and P

It is a sporty ride I like it. Some vibrations arose, but that was expected.

That looks real good. That's the notch setting combo I'm looking at doing on my ACLB. What overall lift height did you gain up front?

I sadly did not get a measure on the front/rear before lift. I became impatient searching for the tape measure that the wife misplaced so I installed the lift. Maybe 21" hub to fender at stock? I'm guessing it would be the same height as yours stock.

So I guess 1.75 front and no taco lean. If there is it's minimal.
2.5 rear if the rear was at 22". Again minimal lean with half a tank of gas.
