    3rd gen specific ones are on backorder. We get hate from almost everyone....

    I’m debating between 5100 w/OME 885 and notch 0 vs 6112 set at notch 5/4. Rear would be Dakar pack and 5100 vs 5160.
    For daily driving, would 6112 at notch 5/4 be a rougher ride than 5100 w/o preload?
    The price difference between the two options is only $400 so I could go either way. Both would be great for the mild OR that I will occasionally do.
    Which set up is better for my 50 mile round trip daily commute to work?

    Jba uca's, bilstein's 6112 and 5125 Alcan 2" rear springs, wheeler's super bumpstops. Michelins defenders 265/75/16
    With a double cab the 6112’s @ 4-5 slot would ride fine I imagine. Keep in mind the 6112 is a bigger valve body than the 5100 series.

    6112 is superior in every way and every form PERIOD. Hope that helps.

    6112s is by far a better shock then the 5100s. If you can afford the price jump I say go for it. Mine is set at notch 4, have about 20,000 miles on them and they are awesome. For the rear I have the B110s 5100s paired with the Dakar Leaf Pack. These are the RCD tuned ones and are actually really nice as well. Some ppl have had leaking issues with them but I think they fixed that cause I haven’t had a problem with mine

    Thanks. That does help a lot. Simple and to the point. Now I just have to wait until they are in stock

    The wife wants to do a little house remodeling so I have to wait a little anyway until funds free up. Hopefully I’ll have a very merry Christmas.

    I have almost the same F/R setup (except I’m with 700# front coils @5th notch.) Not a single issue.

    If I had to do it over again, I’d buy the same exact setup.

    For me the 600# coils work. If I do an aftermarket bumper probably go aluminum and get the 650# coils

    EXACT same boat as you. Seems like everyone is going for 6112. But outside it being the better shock, what is the real world difference?

    I have 650 eibach springs. Definitely invest in 650 or 700 if you plan on adding weight. I didn't put that into consideration and I felt the 600 couldn't take the weight.

    Yup save yourself the trouble and go straight to the 6112. I had the 5100's now 6112, as they said much better ride on and offroad. As far as the funds start putting some $ aside or the house will always use it up. Set up a (trust) I mean truck fund. LOL

    Is the ride stiffer and steady or more plush and steady compared to the 5100's?
