In limited quantities. Rogue had a few sets but they were already paid for

They'd need to be pretty amazing to be worth roughly 3 x cost of a set of the 6112's. Have to see what true street price is after they are up to full production though.

    New Bump Stops Needed? Recommended?

Just curious for those that have upgraded to 6112/5160 and Dakars, was there a need (or even a "highly recommend") to change out the bump stops to a larger size? Are the stock bump stops sufficient when adding 2" in lift?

They have a bottoming cone and that's pretty much it for the front. The rears are a lot more performance for the same price

The stock bump stop is rock hard. Best to replace them with something that can absorb a bottoming.

If you don't want to replace, to need to make sure your new shock has enough travel for those extra 2 inches. If not, you'll need a taller bump stop

Damn, thanks for the info @tow-coma . I think I'm going to move onto the Fox 2.0's. Anyone have experience with them?

There is a huge difference between the performance you'll get from the 8112 and any 2 inch shock. I wouldn't look that far away.

Go to Filthy Motorsports and see what a set of custom Kings would run you. It will be less than you think

I wouldn't even bother with a 2.0s fox honestly. I would just go with Bilstein 5100 instead of that. Obviously if 8112 are better but my 6112 does the job just fine.

Unfortunately I don't. I heard some scuttlebutt about it being as late as July but with Bilstein you never know for sure.

For those with 6112 with different 650lb or 700lb. Can you recommend me which brand/mode of coil to get? Currently I’m on max 6th notch my 3rd gen 6112 and the coil it came with (600lb?) but after 9 months...I’m interested in little more lift. Maybe reach 3” lift front and drop thr notch to 5th maybe...

For rear, I have HS AAL + Overload leaf left in there which spec says 2” lift in rear. I do like the about 1” factory rake this gives me. I would like to maintain this so would i uograde to a Dakar Medium leaf pack?

    Thank you.

The only coils that fit this is the eibach 650/700 which are 14" long just like the 600lb that came with the 6112. king, fox, icon can fit but they just more expensive with the same specs, which are most likely unbranded eibachs. OME coils do not fit our application.

Don't expect switching to this coil will give you a 3" lift. If anything you'll gain maybe .25-.5" but will settle down a bit.

I switched to 650lb spring with No complaints cuz I added a front bumper. Good luck

Thank you Sir! so the link you provided is also for 2016 3rd gen Tacoma?

And with what you said, i may just go that route and not mess with the current AAL+Overload leaf that i have.

Hmmmm the 700lb is tempting...i wouldnt mind a lil firmer suspension if it means i have somewhat “future proof” if i want to add some weight down the road but i dont have plan to do so but i do want little more lift.

I wouldn't buy them for lift, I would buy them if your planning on a bumper, 2nd battery, compressors etc. 700 on a stock truck will be a stiff ride. 650 would be fine I would think.

Up to you though. If you want more lift switch out the setup for coilovers.

    This and that...
Looks like if you wanted to sell the 6112's and go with a better match for a 3" lift, it would't be very hard....

Yep, so easy sell to someone wanting the 6112's and then use that money for a suspension better suited for 3 inches.

Since we're talking about 6112 Bilstein shocks which I currently have on my Tacoma. Im thinking of switching my 265\75\16 all terrains to 285's. Im I going to have any problems with the bigger tire fitting properly with the 6112 shocks?

    got some
I have that same set up and I did not have any problems with the 285/75/16s driving freeways and city roads. if u want to go off-roading, u r going to have to do a cab-mount chop. Once that's done you are good to go...
