I was on a couple of different lists at a bunch of different places since February. They are sparsely coming in to different vendors due to the ongoing high demand of them. Bilstein is having a very difficult time trying to keep up with production due to this demand. I had went with the 6112’s recognizing their warranty, how well they work compared to other high-end shocks, the overall price of the shocks, and my overall budget. Fox, ADS, and King all make extremely good shocks but for the quality, warranty, and keeping a budget in mind, I would still recommend the 6112’s even though you might have to wait for them. Contact Marie, @HeadStrong Off-Road , and you might be able to get on the list and get lucky.

    I'm waiting as well....
Just wondering since I have mobtown sliders and an aluminum bumper with Baja design fogs and 30" S8 led bar in the bumper along with metal grill with another 30" S8 light in the grill I'm guessing 60 to 70 extra pounds up front. Can I run the 6112's on the 6th notch with out too much problem...? Or should I go with a 650 lb. spring...?
Would like to achieve 2 1/2" of lift after settling....and still have a decent ride and performance...

I think you'll be ok. The winch was the big factor on my front end. I have a steel semi hidden bumper, aluminum skids, and sliders as well. The ride is great with the weight on front.

I hear ya on the budget. I can swing the ADS coilovers, but if I could get the 6112's and save the additional $700 it would cost for the ADS. Hell, it's like getting a leaf pack or numerous other parts for free. Looks like some phone calls are in order.

So stick with the 6112 stock springs..?
Will the 6th notch be ok..?
Again would like 2 1/2" up front and 2" out back after settling.

I cant say with certainty but I would think so depending on the coil length.
Both are 2.5'' shock bodies. The Icons I had on my first gen Tundra had a 13'' spring/ length and an ID of 3''. Although I ended up putting on a 14'' coil 700 lb from King.

Talked with I think Steven at Wheelers little bit earlier about 6112's being available. He said they had received stock for Tundras, fifth gen 4 Runner's, I think first gen Tacomas but no 2nd gen yet. Expecting first of to the middle of July for the 2nd gen's.

So withthe 6112s at the 6th notch you will get the maximum available out of this front suspension. No matter what springs you put on there it won't get any taller... just stiffer. If you will be adding weight, expect some sag. It's not much, but I notice it. The ride is still amazing.

If you put stiffer springs on them and don't put weight on the front, your ride will not be amazing. Maybe not even nice.

Do these get super stiff like the 5100's as you go up the notch settings? Obviously they will get stiffer the more preload you add but I'm wondering if it's a bit better ride with these.

I'm told it's a linear spring so it's not supposed to be as bad but I've been asking the same question.

The spring is made for the shock so even at the max setting it's not too much for the shock to handle. Mine are max and after a few weeks of settling in they ride wonderfully.

Correct the 6112 comes with the linear spring not a progressive spring, so the spring rate stays the same. Factory Springs are progressive So they will get stiffer as they are compressed. My brother has 5100s on his forerunner, and they ride wonderful at the Max 2.5 inch setting. Apparently the Tacoma at Max setting gives a harse ride maybe do from the weight difference or valving

I thought the 5100's were used with longer springs at zero setting as to not make the ride too stiff...?
So how can they be at the max setting and ride good..?
Did he put linear spring on them..?
Just curious as the reason for not going 5100 was to get a better controlled ride with 6112/5160 combo without the harshness...

Edit: you said the weight difference so that makes sense...

You can either preload the factory coil springs using the 5100 clip system, Or use longer Springs like 0ME

Looks like these may be starting to be available again. Found some on eBay with a response from the vender (wUnderCarParts) that says they are in stock and ready to ship.
