I'm going to pull everything apart this weekend and take a look behind myself. If I find anything I'll let you guys know. Really appreciate all of the help and feedback from everyone.

By the way, to get back on the original topic, the 5160's do pair excellent with the 3-Leaf AAL. How they manage to give a softer ride without hitting the bump stops blows my mind.

Sounds good. I'm curious as to what you find. I agree with the the 5160's. At first I didn't notice a whole lot of difference coming from 5100's which were an upgrade from stock for sure. For one they give you a bit more travel without doing anything else and hold up so much better off road. I pounded them for over an hour straight on a rough road and they got pretty hot but no issues whatsoever with either 6112's or 5160's. I got the 5100's really hot a few times but I must say they never failed either.

I am trying to get some good measurements. But I have Ray 10's and they stick out a bit making it difficult. Any tips? Or just eyeball it?

I don't know about the 2016, but I have the 2013 dclb with the 6112, 5160, jba uca's, and dakar set up. It will easily fit that size tire. I have a 2 1/4" in the front on the fourth setting and 2.75 in the rear with the medium dakars. You should get 3 if you are not supporting 600+ lbs at all times with the heavy dakars.

I have SR8's so I know what you mean. I just put a piece of wood level with the center of the hub and measure from that to the bottom of the fender.

If you have the 2nd gen 6112 you could which I don’t recommend. The 3rd gen 6112 will only give you 2-2.25” lift.

One difference is I think the Gen 3 had 6 settings for the front spring perch, Gen 2 has only 5. See charts here bottom of each page:

    Gen 2

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p186/Performance_Bilstein_Kit_(HS05BK-2).html

    Gen 3

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/st..._Kit_with_OME_Dakar_Leaf_Pack_(HS16BK-3).html

Guessing that the damping & spring rates are the same but don't know for sure. Note there is no "stock" height perch setting for Gen 2.

Do the 2nd gen and 3rd gen 6112's have the same travel?
Is there any benefit to installing 3rd gen 6112's on my 2015?
