4th setting will give you some rake when you are unloaded with those leafs in the back. Mine is on the 4th setting with a modified Dakar pack (top OL out) and I am level. Platform, shell in the back.

Set the front at the 4th setting. Here is my truck finished with the HD Dakars, Bilstein B110 w/ Wheelers U-bolt Flip and SuperBumps (front and rear). I paired the 6112s with JBA UCAs
I'm happy with the end result and rake. We'll see what my final lift measurement numbers end up being once its settled. It gave me around 2" in the front and 4" in the rear.

Ride is much better than my stock limited( very soft) suspension. I had 4wheel parts install and align my truck with stock uca’s without a problem. Love the firmer feel, very planted to the road and much more noticeable in turns.
Very happy with ride and how it turned out for any others out there wondering the same. Pics below, my driveway makes it look uneven but it’s totally level on flat surface. 7FAFC5AA-21D3-434F-8E48-E74F47DAA2DD.jpg

For those that preloaded their springs to the 4th clip or higher....do you guys get any coil bind? Whenever I hit a dip on the road (not a pothole but more of a gradual dip) I hear a clicking sound from my driver's side area. Running stock height (Clip 1/2) I didn't have this clicking. Only after I raised it I heard it. No clicking from passenger's side.

Nope, I’m on the 6/5 setting. Take the wheeels and tire off and inspect your setup.

What is even more odd is that it doesn't happen all the time. I will check the torque specs on my LBJ. I can't think of it being anything else because I have taken the shock and coil off 3 times already and it still has that "click." Only happens at speed too. If I take a dip while off-road slowly no sound and all is normal but at speed it'll click

Have you checked to see if your UCA is making contact with the coil spring? The stock UCA has enough travel that it will hit the cool spring when fully extended down unless you orient the spring just right.

I thought this was the issue but no markings on the UCA or the Coil. Is it only on extension or compression? I only hear the click when it is compressed

Ah sorry, misread your previous post. It'll only make contact when it's fully extended in down travel.

#2 should get you real close to level. #3 would put you slightly nose high.

I saw that you got your 6112s installed on the 4th notch. I am considering a similar setup and hoping to get around 2-2.5” in the front. What numbers did you get after everything settled?

Just got back from driving from Portland to Victoria via Port Angeles and back with the 6112's installed. Last month i did the same trip with just the rears installed so i had a good baseline to go off of.

I must say I am very impressed with how the 6112/5160's perform at interstate speeds (55 to 85). just fantastic. Eats up the bumps, takes away the harshness and sloppiness that i had on the front with stock suspension + 1" spacer. Also greatly improves how the truck handles in the corners (highway 101 in wa following the Hood Canal was a good testing ground)

lower speeds (<40) they are not as noticeable unless going across a pretty rough patch of asphalt

mine are paired with p-rated AT3's. With the exception of long gravel driveways, my tacoma is a pavement princess, no offroad

    Thanks for your response.
I found this pdf online and it states or recommends that the clips be installed at different notches or "circlips" in both passenger and driver side shocks. is this true. or do I do them both at 2nd notch to level my Tacoma?
    thanks Adis

If you do not want to use a 3/8" spacer, then you'll instead want to set the driver's side 1 clip position higher than the passenger's side.

Well I did what you are thinking of doing. Set the 6112's at #2 in front to level out brand new set of rear TSB 3+1 leaf springs, which seemed to sit way high in back. Others told me the springs would settle a lot but like a know-it-all I ignored them. It was level for a while then over less than a year the new springs sagged a lot, to the point it looked stupidly nose high. I added a HS 3-leaf, with the overload taken out earlier this season and it now sits slightly higher than factory rake maybe 6 months later. After I finish up my usual wood gathering this fall I will re-evaluate see if I want to push to #3 in front or not.

Bottom line #2 + stock rear springs will be nose high right away if the springs are older, will eventually be nose high if they are newer. Either go with #1 or plan on getting a 3-leaf (or upgraded rears) if you go higher in front. Where you go then depends on if you keep the overload or not, or which leaf pack you get. If you keep overload at least #3. On the Taco lean issue, I went with the 1/4" spacer instead of higher setting on driver's side, only a very slight difference now. This is V6 4wd manual Access cab, 2005. No camper or heavy bumpers, or extra weight in the bed.
