Within the warranty period the authorized BILSTEIN distributor shall be obligated to repair or replace a defective Product at its discretion. This does not apply if the Product has been used improperly and contrary to BILSTEIN’s instructions. Further claims for defects by Purchaser are excluded.

UNDERSTANDING BILSTEIN WARRANTY PROCEDURES AND POLICY
BILSTEIN is committed to offering the highest quality suspension systems, along with that priority comes ethical warranty service. Here’s a rundown of our 3-tiered warranty basics.

At BILSTEIN we strive to create suspension solutions not only to challenge the technology of today, but to endure the trials of tomorrow. We engineer our applications to be top of their field in direct-fitment, consistency and reliability. We stand by our shocks, and understand that warranty questions inevitably arise as customers help us to improve our own quality standards.

When a customer comes to you with a question about a challenge they are having with a BILSTEIN product, it is important to be acquainted with the process flow and policy for serving the applicable warranty.

The BILSTEIN warranty structure is divided in three durations – reflecting the typical usage of the individual product. Rare for the performance automotive industry, BILSTEIN offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser that our product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the damper. This Limited Lifetime Warranty extends to the following lines:

    • B4 OE Replacement
    • B6 / B6 Performance / B6 4600
    • B8 Performance Plus
    • B12 Series
    • B14 (PSS)
    • B16 (PSS9 & PSS10)
    • B8 5100 / B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable) / B8 5112 / B8 6112
    PROCEED IN CASE OF DEFECTS
Despite our strict quality controls, if you believe your product has any defects in design, material, and workmanship, please read our BILSTEIN Warranty Promise and follow the steps outlined below to ensure that your warranty claim is resolved as quickly and easily as possible.

    • Step 1: Please first contact the original place of purchase (distributor of BILSTEIN products) where you purchased your shocks. Distributors are responsible for handling all product warranty claims. If for some reason the distributor is no longer in business, then continue to step 2 below.
      • IMPORTANT! Please DO NOT send in your shock absorbers without first contacting our Warranty Team and obtaining a Warranty Evaluation Form. This must be included with your shock absorbers for us to complete the service.
      • IMPORTANT! You must be the original purchaser of shocks and have proof of purchase to be considered for warranty claim. Warranty is non-transferrable.
    • Step 2: Contact Bilstein Warranty Team at warranty@bilsteinus.com to verify warrantability of your shocks and obtain Warranty Evaluation Form.
    • Step 3: Complete Warranty Evaluation Form provided by BILSTEIN Warranty Support Team.
    • Step 4: Ship your shocks, proof of purchase, AND warranty evaluation form to BILSTEIN Warranty Department using a shipping method that can demonstrate proof of delivery. We recommend requesting a signature requirement when shipping in the product. Bilstein does not accept responsibility for missing or damaged packages. We do not accept cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions. Please do not send shocks in with loaded springs.
      • IMPORTANT! BILSTEIN is not liable for unauthorized shipments that have been sent without warranty evaluation form.
    • Step 5: BILSTEIN Quality Department will evaluate shock(s) and review findings with our Warranty Department. Once complete, you will be contacted with evaluation results and recommend next steps.

Thank you for the information they are under warranty I contacted low range off-road where I bought them from. They contacted the BilStein department and they authorized for both shocks and both springs to be replaced the only problem is they have none in stock it seems that when the stimulus checks went out all their products will wiped out. Thanks again
