It was packaged well. Bubble wrapped and in a cardboard wraparound type box. Forgot to take pics.

Found a couple of colored spots.

    IMG_0400.jpg

Found some small blemishes on backing plate.
    IMG_0408.jpg
    IMG_0406.jpg

Backing plate came only partially screwed on.
    IMG_0403.jpg
    IMG_0410.jpg

I managed to shear off one of the bolts, which is a first-time accomplishment for me. No way to replace them, so be careful.
    IMG_0414.jpg

Drilled the plastic holes with 1/4 in to insert bolts in holes, otherwise many didn't fit. Please ignore my sweat.
    IMG_0418.jpg

Went on easily. Bolts on edges sit slightly non-perpendicular to surface. Also, the writing on the bolts looks a bit ugly.
    IMG_0420.jpg

Can see gaps a bit on underside.
    IMG_0433.jpg

From up close, can see some ugly plastic that's behind the grille near the edges.
    IMG_0436.jpg

The above are all the tiny problems I could find. Overall very happy with grille insert.

Ah, I was wondering what that paper was. Anyway, I'll leave it on as is. Powder coat looks good. I'll check the spots. Kinda scared to scrape though.

maybe hit it with some black touch up paint. the powder coat will chip like paint if you catch a rock on the freeway, so you'll probably want some touch up paint just incase.

Here are some better pictures for everyone. I have five grilles remaining and due to me grossly underestimating shipping costs, I've increased the cost to $245.

Received and installed mine yesterday evening. I'll try to (short) summarize my findings as @gulzeb did with similarities/differences. Packaging was similar, and I did not notice any color spots. I did have to drill out the plastic holes with what I remember to be a 7/16 bit. Didn't shear any backing plate bolts, but I was super careful after reading the previous review (Thank you!). After peeling off the laser paper the other side of the backing plate it looked great, so don't forget to do that. I agree the writing on the bolts looks a bit ugly and there is very minimal gaps/ plastic that you can see, but you won't be able to notice any of that unless you are up close inspecting the shit out of it. From about 5' away the black contrast really hides everything so it looks really sharp. I'm really happy with it and the crinkle black looks great!

Me. Can't believe spotted so quickly. Was taking bulk trash to dump. They skipped me because I had a mirror in my pile.

Looked good! I was sitting at qt and saw you pull out. Wish I would have noticed it sooner so I could have looked at it up close.
