I’m in the middle of trying to find aftermarket steel wheels to fit my 2017 as well. There’s just not a ton of info out there about it. Back when I had a 1st gen, there were fitment issues with most of the 15” steel wheels because of the calipers. Wheeler’s Off-road offered an in-house model wheel that cleared them. They were the only ones. Obviously Wheelers didn’t make the wheels but they had their own design that someone else was producing for them. They looked just like the ProComp Series 97 wheels or the US Wheels version as well. They had the smaller holes with more meat around them. Not sure why nobody makes a simple steel wheel to work on the Toyota’s? I’d LOVE to find a 16” steelie to work since 16” tires are less expensive, albeit just by a little. They also offer a little more sidewall. The spare on my truck is a 16” steel wheel so it’s clearly possible to do.

I’ve actually just decided to go FJ steelies as there is more info available regarding them and I think they look great. They’rea bit hard to find, so I’ve gone with another brand that has positive reviews that included photos on a 2019 that finally made me, finally, breathe easier. They should be here in a week or so.

It’s strange to me there isn’t more info - more definitive info anyway. It’s definitely a resource that would be handy to have.

Totally agree. I prefer the 8 hole style but I may end up going with the FJ steelies. Any idea what the width, backspace, and offset are on those?
