3rd option is best considering you can sell the original headlights and recuperate a couple bucks!

You could also get Morimotos. They are blacked out, plug n play, with white or amber drls

If you already have the chrome OEM LED headlights, you will need a harness from the vendor.

Those are halogen. If you have OEM led headlights, you can't use those without a custom harness. And I'm pretty sure @daveeasa doesn't make those on principle

Edit: don't buy from that company. Generally speaking, we as a community don't support them

Edit 2: sounds like you have 3 options...

    1) BHLM by vtec: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/retrofit-and-bhlm-headlights.565466/

    2) morimoto xb v2s + harness from vendor at additional cost

    3) sell your oem led and buy oem led pros

The halogens aren’t worth much. $100-$200 ish. It’ll be a bit painful to upgrade whether it’s OEM LED or xb v2. Bhlm is something I wouldn’t personally pay for but maybe it’s possible to find a nice used set from someone else who upgraded.

Depending on your bulb choice you are at some level of reduced performance. The best performing bulbs are Philips H9 in low and high beam positions. LED bulbs are lower output due to lack of focus. Focus is everything in a projector.

I don’t have LED , That’s why I’m looking for projection type so I don’t need the harness , I have the LED bulbs that’s all

The morimotos are plug and play upgrade from the stock projectors. Expensive but you get what you pay for in the headlight world.20220417_180134_HDR.jpg

It would benefit you to read the full review of OEM LED and the morimoto xb v2’s:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

I would not personally base my headlight decision based on the need or lack of need for a conversion harness. But everyone operates with different priorities so maybe that is just a deal killer. There is an Amazon listing for a harness at around $50 I believe. And eBay ones were as low as $40-$45 in the past. As well as the cut and crimp option.

You can bake them in oven to open them up. It's not really hard but is a lot of work. Mainly getting all the old sealer out is a bitch.

Yessir, the harness plugs up to the factory harness for the trd lights with the led driving lights

This is good advice I wouldn't base it on the purchase of the harness either. I went with the morimotos because I wanted amber driving lights and I just prefer the overall look of them to the factory LEDs. However everything I have read on hear attests to the factory lights providing superior light function but the morimotos are a huge upgrade over the halogen ones to me.
