I drove to work in the rain, when I left, I noticed the right blinker on the dash illuminated when I pressed the brake, which only illuminates the right front blinker. What would cause this situation.

Possible short due to water intrusion? Bad ground on tail light? I would check to be sure that the right rear stop light bulb is not shorted, or that there is water in the lens. Then I would check the ground for the right rear stop light circuit.
