are there really any performance loss problems with the blower chirping? or is it just the noise that bugs people?

Replaced my chirping blower yesterday with the TYC aftermarket unit. No chirping so far. Hmm, what's better, the OEM blower made in 'Nam, or the TYC blower made in Taiwan?

I'm having the same damn problem. I'm going to print this thread out and hand it to the guys at my dealership, so they "know" what to deal with.

Taking the truck to the stealer today, to deal with the blower, fix the recirculation air button that keeps turning off by itself, replace all the window moldings since they are open in some areas and collect water and fix the buzz noise that comes from the glove compartment or passenger door panel.
I'll let you know what gets fix and what not..

I just got a call from the dealer, I'm so mad that I'm shaking, they didn't replace the motor because they found some debris when they removed the cabin filter, Toyota states that if there is debris they shouldn't replace the motor.
As for the circulation button light, the service guys states that it's suppost to turn of when the temperature inside is the same of the outside temperature so my windshield doesn't get foggy , Can you guys believe this bullshit???
    I can't f%$#$^ believe it..

I'm sooo maaaad:annoyed:. Stupid moron.... Now I'm gonna have to take "Another" day off from work, to take the truck to another stealer and have it fix. Maan, I get a new truck so I don't have to miss work (no work no pay) and I ended up taking days off anyway to fix the new truck..

They Are "right" about the recirculation button, just look into your manual. Press it for 2 seconds it will stay on.

Ahhhhhhh....silence is bliss :D I asked what the "noise kit" was and the service rep just said it was extra insulation to help deaden any noises that may come back. Not exactly promising to hear, but it'll do for now.

Fan number 4 in my 2010 Tacoma started chirping in the last few days.

Guess I'll be getting number 5!

#3 for me started chirping. I guess it's a new one every year as this will be the 4th on my 08 I bought new in April 2008. So far, all 3 replaced by dealer, this one started chirping 13 months after last one replaced under warranty.
