    Hello Jon850,

I haven't tried that fan. I sent the seller a question and asked them if it has bearings or bushings. The listing says bearings, but I doubt it. There are a few aftermarket fans on Amazon, but the reviews don't give me enough confidence to buy one. I hate fixing things more than once.

Just a bunch of old crap
My original fan from my '06 is just weak. I've taken it apart twice and used an air compressor to blow all the dust and debris out of it, did some dry graphite powder for lube, and it worked pretty good for about 6 months. It's so weak that sometimes I have to whack on the bottom of the blower motor under the dash to get it to start turning, then it goes. I want my a/c blower power back!

Did it ever occur to you that bad parts might be made anywhere in the world, including the US? It's a global economy and parts will be produced wherever it's cost effective and nativism isn't going to change that.

BudMan, that's a good idea. I'll put that up tonight after the kids go to bed.

I sprayed some dry teflon bicycle chain lube in mine last June. Has been quiet ever since.

Hello Captchas, I was expecting that Toyota would only provide the basic warranty on the part. My '11 is at 47k, so I'm out of warranty. I actually don't blame Toyota for not covering it, as the warranty was clearly stated when I bought the truck. I do think they could provide a better price on the replacement fan, and still make plenty of profit.
