I pulled apart my chirping blower motor to grease the bearings in an attempt to quiet it down. I put everything back together and the motor is spinning backwards. It has power, changes speed, just doesnt put air out of the vents.

I didn't change anything on the wiring. Should I just switch the leads at the plug?

Honestly, I'd go buy the latest P/N blower assembly from your dealer - the one ending with 043 I think is what I installed over 2 years ago and I haven't heard one noise from it yet. That was after several attempts to silence the Delphi POS like you have there.

Short of that, are you sure the motor is spinning backwards, or is the squirrel cage fan just on backwards? I can't recall if it can or can't be put on backwards, but I'd check that.

I was thinking about the new assembly. I verified visually before I bolted the motor back in the AC housing. The fan can only fit on the shaft one way

The electric plug is not reversed, correct?

Hmm, maybe you got the brush holder clocked differently in the motor, but I definitely do not regret the $$$ spent on the updated motor.

I though that was possibly the case but the motor can only go back together one way

Judging by this picture the brush holder is upside down.... Back to the drawing board

Swapped the brushes around and viola! Problem solved. I guess I have been looking at it too long, needed to step back and see it from a new angle haha :anonymous::tinfoilhat:
