I have done a lot of reading on the blower resistors and wiring harnesses going bad.

Mine is slightly different in that my blower fan works on both HIGH and MEDIUM-HIGH, but not medium and below.

This only started a few weeks ago.

I inspected the wiring harness and it looks fine - no signs of overheating such as burn marks on the harness.

Most of the reading I read was the fans would only work on high.

Is there anything I should inspect first before going down the path of ordering a new resistor and harness?

I would just change the resistor, this is really common, I’m on my 3rd one at 285000 miles

Not sure if its the right thing to do but I used some dielectric grease I had on hand and it solved my problem. 8 months going strong.

    Thanks guys!

VanDoom, just curious if that's all you did? Meaning, know resistor or wiring change, just the grease? If so, I would definitely try that first to see!
