What temperature bulbs are burning out, are they stock replacements or are they xtra bright silverstars (or equivalent)?

Normally, heat, vibration and touching the glass surface of the bulb are what shorten the life of halogen bulbs. Just the low beam...on just one side...more that once...in a short period of time, indicates a bigger problem.

If you did not "handle" the bulbs when you put them in I would say there may be a wiring issue.
