Does anybody know if Toyota will replace a blown shock under warranty on a stock truck?

2nd question...if the dealership is not going to replace it, does anybody know where I could buy a stock TRD OR rear shock that is not the Stealership?

    Thanks for any input

I believe it's bumper to bumper coverage for a period of time. Unless you have any related modifications, I don't see any reason why not.

    Stock and staying that way
Good luck. I couldn't get GM to replace the Koni on a 1LE Camaro long ago. It was puking fluid but they wiped it off and said it was fine.

I had a rear replaced on Gen 2. It was leaking oil and no problem getting it covered.

They must really like you. Shocks are generally considered wear items like tires and brake pads.

Shocks are covered under the 36 month/36,000 mile warranty for leakage. They are not considered wear items like tires and brakes. Toyota warranty policy does not allow them to be replaced in pairs, they are replaced individually based on warranty guidelines once the leak is considered bad enough.

There may be a dealer or two out there replacing both, but they would have to lie to Toyota and claim both were leaking if they want to get paid for it.
