I'm thinking of trading in my 08 on a new Tundra Limited (6" lift with 35's!)

I ran a Kelly Blue Book just on an 08 TRD Offroad Double cab.

The trade in value came back at 26000????? That's what I paid for it in 08

Are these things keeping their value that good???

    24200....man...glad I bought a Toyo!

Wonder if I'll get more for my lift, 33's, and wheels?

Starting over with a new GMC AT4 Satin Steel Metallic Softopper, Bilstein 5100's @ 1.75 in the front, TSB Rear, 17x8.5 Lvl 8 Guardians, 265/70-17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W, Scooped, Anytime fog mod, Osram Nightbreakers, LED Interior lights, Debadged, Painted valance, Removed rear head rests, De-flapped, Hidden Hitch installed, Weather Techs, Flyzeye'd A/W/A, Cover Kings.
Most of the time mods like that actually lower value at a dealership. Lots of people want tacomas. Less people want a lifted one.

The blue book value on my taco is still higher than what I payed for about 10 months ago(nada.com and KBB.com). And it's bought from a dealership. I knew I got a good deal but damn!!!

I was looking at buying used, but they are selling for what a new one is, that's why I ended up buying new.

Wow Cmack, I'll have to remember that...try and play that card later if I need too. I would just go back and replace it with stock stuff then sell, it's obvious people practically give stock stuff away around here, it should'nt set you back too much $$.

Same here. When they eventually do the body style change the prices of new ones will likely go up which means our resale will go up as well. That is the beauty of these trucks--despite what some posts on here depict, the public perception of these trucks is that they run forever with minimum running costs hence the little drop in value. As to the OP's mods, I would take them off and return the truck to stock. You will get at least as much money and may be able to get a few bucks selling your old parts.

I paid $24,500 for my truck over 4 years ago.... It is worth what?!!? I won't buy anything else, for this very reason.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Tacoma is in its own class (midsize) hence why demand will not go down. And it todays world many people can not get loan for new cars so used car market is booming with prices goign up. Especially for trucks and especially for trucks that do not require $20k to make them drivable after 5 years. We are on the market for family SUV and its tragic. Not only many domestic cars are overpriced like hell the quality is horrible.

Region has a lot to do with it, for whatever reason, they hold their value crazy high up here, but yeah, I bet yours is worth way more than 19k.

Looking to Buy a Tacoma DCSB
I bought a 2006 base model tacoma in 2015. Single Cab auto crank windows manual locks cheapest toyota truck you can buy, had 48,000 miles on the clock when purchased bought it for 5500. Its 2019 it has 100k on the odometer and blue books currently at $6-8,000

    ANDDDDDDD

when I go on craigslist to look at upgrading to a higher tier tacoma, even seeing older trucks as low as early 90s and mileages as high as 300-400k. Nearly every single tacoma regardless of mileage year condition is selling, or atleast every owner is asking ABOVE blue book. By like 20% equity..

Im talking about an ADDITIONAL $4-5,000 ABOVE BLUE BOOK

    so YES.

    Holy thread resurrection.

It also really depends on where you're selling. Here in Hawaii, Tacoma KBB values don't mean anything.

KBB values for all tacomas, no matter where you are, are not realistic whatsoever.
