I surely hope this thread is still alive because I have a ton of questions. My first question is where exactly do the relays mount? Are they mounted underneath the fuse panel, or are they integrated in the panel itself? I don't have a ton of accessories at this time just a 20-inch light bar and two LED pods, I just ordered a plate bumper so I will be attaching a winch as well and down the road I will have a compressor so I need something like this. Is a winch too much for this type of application? I guess I should have started my reply with I'm a total Noob when it comes to wiring and electrical in vehicles so bare with me and my dumb questions. I had just wired my pods the other day and I have wires going from the pods to the relay and then from the relay to the switch and the battery and ground so I'm curious where the relay is in this hole application. Thanks for the patience and I hope I brought this thread back to life

Winch goes directly to battery. An AUX panel is not enough for a winch.

So as a rule of thumb how many accessories would warrant this application? I plan on placing and additional light bar and Stn compressor for a total of 2 20" bars 2-4 pods and an Arb compressor.

^^This. Just to reiterate a winch can draw upwards of 400amps. I personally know the Bussmann 10circuit is only capable of 80amps per bridge.

If you have 3-4+ I'd say go for it. 1 or 2 isn't worth the time/money

so its not due to safety? having multiple connections points to the positive terminal wont mess things up? no matter how much i read about electricity in a car it donsent make 100% sense. i love the clean look but i can deal with loose wires under the hood if they arnt gonna burn the truck down cuz i keep them tiddy for the most part

You could potentially create an issue with a lot of accessories tied to the battery post(not likely). The Aux panels (blue seas, spod, super8, Bussmann, others) just clean things up and make them more cooler (Expo, Overland, Offroad, etc).

I mean unless you are running a dual battery setup, if you use an AUX fuse panel you are still pulling power from the main battery, no difference.

Very nice install.....just a note to pass on...especially when the rig is used a lot for off road.....when utilizing big wire, and crimp fittings, after I crimp them...I drill a small hole(like 3/32) at the base of the crimp (closed end of fitting) and solder the connector.by feeding solder thru the hole....crimp holds them in place..solder fills any voids inside...its super strong and vibration proof for off roading..and makes a elec connection that will never corrode and cause Hi Resistence issues......

If you're talking about this kind of crimp that might be a good idea
    [IMG]

If you use a hydraulic crimper, it's probably unnecessary.

I have same comment going out on another thread, but can anyone give me rough measurements for the bracket? Currently on a ship with no way to measure but I was going to fab one in our shop. 2013 automatic. Just need measurements for fit and mounting holes to factory threads. Thanks in advance!
