Bluetooth not always connecting and BT music issues

The text messages work fine as long as the Bluetooth connects. As mentioned above, the Bluetooth doesn't always connect. It never loses a connection while I'm driving, but about 1 out of every 4 times I start my truck the Bluetooth won't connect without me turning the Bluetooth off then back on on my phone.

 

Texts work fine for me as well, though I'm annoyed I can't do voice to text like Google. These preselected ones are useless.

Keep us posted. I don't have issues connecting, but 1 out every couple of times my music skips when connected ... To fix the skipping I have to toggle BT one and off, sometimes more than once.. And all my text come across as unknown.. All the time

 

That app seems to work good for auto turning on and off Bluetooth but the Waze feature didn't work with entune.

 

It's a Nougat problem. Same issue on my 6p and LG V20 on Nougat. All my other phones with Lollipop works perfectly and connects each and every time.

 

I have a pixel running 7.1.1 and my Bluetooth doesn't automatically connect about every 5 times I start the truck. I turn BT off and back on again and it works. I also have a smart watch connected to my bluetooth and I read android 7 has trouble connected to multiple bluetooth devices. I've also read bad things about google's antennas/radios as far as signal strength.

 

Yep, like i said Nougat. I've had about 4 phones since I bought the truck and the Nougat ones are the only ones that has that connection issue.

 

had a pixel connected fine but wouldnt transfer 100% of the contacts more like 85%. Had other issues with the phone switched it out for s7 edge. Now all contacts transfer. But having issues with whatsapp. The entune system knows its a call and then 10 seconds into the call hangs up. My phone doesnt hang up just the car audio I have to switch to speakerphone.

Skipped yesterday when I got in the car after running into the grocery store...

 

I have iPhone 7 and every time I get in my truck I have to turn the Bluetooth off on my phone and turn it back on. If I do not the music will constantly turn on and off. Also if i try to play pandora when I get in my truck it will always give me a error can not connect message. So every time I get into my truck I have to log out of entune and sign back in then pandora will work just fine. Very aggravating and inconvenient. Lately I've just been driving around with no music because I don't feel like messing with it and radio sucks these days

 

I also have an iPhone 7, about 50 percent of the time when the bluetooth connects and starts playing the music will play and then skip a couple of seconds over and over until i disconnect and re-connect a few times. this has to be a software issue with the entune system. I think an update should fix it and I hope it comes out soon

 

For those experiencing issues, especially with the music burst, delete any other profiles which are linked to your stereo.

Once I deleted my wife's profile, the streaming music issues I had disappeared.

 

I just installed Android 7.1.2 and so far seems to have fixed it, but only tested for one day now. I'll report back if I still have problems.

I found that app I mentioned stopped working correctly after a week or so as well, and sometimes would no longer connect. It was nice that it would auto turn on/off your Bluetooth though to save battery.

 

Mine acts up but i think its my phone .. i just cycle the power also make sure im mot logged off the app

 

I am running a iphone 7, no issues w/ the stock non-JBL in my TRD.

 

Well, 7.1.2 didn't fix it. Still not connecting when I enter the truck even though BT is on on phone. I'll try forgetting on both devices but thinking that I'll have to stick with that app for a while.

 

I was hoping this was the fix. My Moto x pure is supposed to get 7.0 or 7.1 soon according to what I've been reading...

I've just gotten used to it. It is what it is..

 

Mine usually works unless left connected in the truck. Then I have to disconnect to get it to work
