    not yet! I'm waiting for most of the salt to clear off the roads before i put on the new shoes, ordered the 255/80/17s cooper discoverer s/t maxx from wheelsco along with the trd pro style wheels. Buddy of mine has 1.25" spacers from his chevy i'm gonna try them on and see how it looks but I have a feeling it won't be enough, and spidertrax doesn't sell a 2" spacer :( so I'm thinking I'll buy some rough country 2" spacers, not the same quality but $400+ from the states is :annoyed:

    You can run the 255’s with stock backspacing. Shouldn’t need spacers...

    Fair enough dude haha makes sense. Those tires will look great. How much poke r u looking for? And what are the specs of the new rims? Width and offset? And I second what @EatSleepTacos said about the Bora spacers

    Hahaha yeah 3.5" of BS will do that. Looks good tho! I wouldn't want any more then what ya got or u will start to look like all them jacked up Chevy' s I see lol

    :rofl: have you got all the trimming and banging done up front now? are you going to have to modify ur rear bump stops to prevent tire rub on the flat bed?

    So far so good. Need to do a little bit more pounding on the driver side but other than that everything is good. I flexed it out till I was lifting a rear tire and turned lock to lock.

    I've been flirting with the idea of some spacers too. Starting to dig that stanced look myself. Just wondering if that would be a good idea with towing though.

    yeah I like the wider stance then factory, nothing crazy, I just have 1.25 adapters. I think it would be fine for towing. I know every one calls them spacers but they are actually adapters. spacers are exactly that, a spacer. the ones every one is using are adapters in the sense that they actually bolt on to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the adapter. plus I put on Loctite as per the installation instruction. what would ur concerns be as far as them having an impact on towing?

    Mostly just the abuse from extra workload from the weight adding more safety concerns. I would think it would be fine but I know nothing about these things lol

    lots of guys run them and these things a pretty stout. I myself would not be overly concerned. as long as you don't get no name ones haha spidertraxx or bora. and just make sure you cheque the torque every now and then

    How heavy do you tow? If the load is well balanced on the trailer it shouldn't put that much more weight on the truck. But as Erik said I wouldn't be concerned about towing, but I should say I am not concerned since I have spacers and tow my 800-900 lbs atv every now and then. But again it is not really an "heavy load"... i think you would be fine

    Get it! Of course spacers do put more stress on bearings, same as wheels with a different offset, but I don't think there are really some true facts or studies to know how seriously this should considered... i only know that toyota bearings are good (there can be exceptions) and that they can handle spacers

    2" boras are $95USD each, I'd be looking at $600+CAD for four of those bad boys shipped to canada :rofl:

    they're 17" wheels, 8" wide with +15mm offset (my current wheels are -18mm offset, i want a similar stance) i think the back spacing was 5"
