I actually have a bag, the big plastic tray that the chainsaw is sitting on is from inside of the bag. my goal is to keep the chain oil in the bag as well sitting next the chainsaw like in the picture.

What if you get a little box, plastic or cardboard, close to the size of the center console of the truck, and then get that center console organizer thing, and put it in there. Then youll have compartments for oil, spare chain, tools, charger, gloves and safety glasses and whatever you need?:notsure:

I like your thinking, but...… no thanks  there are pockets on the bag for extra chain and shit. I would rather not like to carry the oil in the truck lol I want all the chainsaw items in the bag so I can just pick the bag up, load it, and im good to go. I just want something like that carboard box I made and sent in the snap chat, but out of plastic so I can JB weld it to the tray.

it has to be about 4.5'' x 2.5'' x 6'' high to fit the oil jug snuggly. if its a little longer like, 6.5 x 2.5 x 6 then I can slide my safety glasses in there too.

To answer your question carrying bar oil, scrap the boot tray and check out the varna carry case.. https://www.chainsawjournal.com/husqvarna-powerbox-carrying-chainsaw-case/

hahahaha yes yes that's right! the mount! i know exactly what your talking about hahaha

i was looking at the box you posted but mine wouldn't fit in it. it JUST fits in the bag i have, the handle on this BATTERY powered chainsaw (hehehe) is super long, its not as stubby as your average saw. i just need some sort or plastic sleeve to glue onto the tray to slide the oil jug into so it doesn't tip over

looking for some chainsaw oil jug mounting options. i have that carrying bag for a chainsaw with a plastic bottom. i want to mount the jug as posted in the picture but i want some sort of sleeve to glue down to slide the jug into. needs to be about 4.5'' x 2.5'' x 6'', or 6x2.5x6 and i can throw some safety glasses in it aswell.

I use saws daily so I buy oil in gallon jugs. The jug fits perfect to finish off the milk crate with my other truck fluids in it. The saw just bounces around in the bed but she’s a tough ol girl and don’t mind. Like Chux suggested I think your best bet would be a saw case designed to carry oil in it or possibly use sheet metal tacked together then attached to the base you already have

so, for those of you who did not know, I did a little damage to my back end this past winter. Long story short, I got stuck in the snow bank and then floored it into the back of my buddies tow truck. ended up braking my tail light, my flush mount LED pod, crimpled the back corner of the bed and damaged the rear fender all on the drive's side.

    Here is the initial damage:

    20190126_112103.jpg

After driving around like this for a long time and once the weather warmed up I pulled the back bumper off to get a better look at what was going on:

    20190313_075801.jpg

    20190313_075820.jpg

    20190405_180322.jpg

took the tailgate inside to fix it up as best as I could, replaced the hinge bracket with a new one that was not bent, straightened the outer skin as good as I could get it and then used some touch up paint to cover any bare metal there now was. I hooked up some chains to that corner of the bed, attached the chain to my buddies car and tugged and tugged away and straightened it out pretty damn good if I do say so myself. I spent all day today playing with that corner to reassemble in some new corner pieces, did some touch up paint to make it look half decent and put the new tail light on and put it all back together. I'm going to order a new OEM rear bumper for now so im not driving around with no bumper. I do plan on getting a HC at some point but im in no rush and cant afford one right now. an OEM bumper is 200 bucks shipped to my door, so I can live with that.

I also did the ABS Kill Switch Mod
The switch is from Air On Board and it is their Amber colour. It doesn't match the dash lights very well, so I ordered a custom CH4x4 switch with red LED's since it is a closer match to the OEM dash lights.

    20190403_235441.jpg

I also went under the hood today to replace the cheap relay I got from CT I had thrown in for my raptor style LED's in my grille. I had wiring issues and tried multiple fixes, but the only one that worked was a relay. I left it in all winter and ordered a weather proof one from Amazon.
