Bummer about the rim, maybe try a drill with polishing ball?

I think you did a great job on the rims. Have you thought putting paint over the powdercoat? After the winter you could give them a good was and paint all 4. The pc will still protect from chips and you'll be good to refresh them with a thin coat of paint every now and then?

A light scuff on the pc and here you go!

But seriously it is an option for later, like when they'll become your winter wheels because you bought those SCS stealth 6

I'm hoping that by the end of the winter I don't care as much as I do now haha the caring part is slowly fading away. like you said, once I have them SCS's I wont care at all hahaha

alright so. a while back I purchased a custom wiring harness so I could do the Ultimate Fog Light Upgrade

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-upgrade-not-led-or-hid.435419/#post-12592662

I had everything I needed so I went ahead and ran the wiring harness where I wanted it. I went to hook everything up and realised my fog light bulbs were actually 9005 bulbs and not the H11 hahaha so I have been holding off doing anything until recently.

a couple days ago I pulled the wiring harness out, bought some 9005 connectors. took the molex pins out of the connectors and hooked them up to the harness. I always forget to take pictures while I'm doing something so I do apologize haha. I spoke with crashnburn80 and he pointed me in the direction of some good bulbs compatible for my application. I ordered them and am waiting for them to come in the mail.

    http://www.rallylights.com/vosla-9011-hir1-9005-65w-halogen-infrared-bulb.html

once I have the bulbs installed I will post some good before and after pictures so stay tuned!

I just red quickly the info in the link. Does it only apply to fogs?

did my oil change today with Penzoil Platinum Synthetic 5w30 w/ new filter and crush washer.

I also finished up the wiring harness for my fog light upgrade. currently running the stock bulbs with the upgraded wiring harness. I'm waiting for the new bulbs to arrive.

Here is a photo of the completely stock set up.
    20170908_205052.jpg

I do not have a similar picture with the upgraded wiring harness w/ stock bulbs but I will get one this weekend when I'm in a similarly dark location and update it here:

One thing I did do a little different.
I did not want my OEM fog light connector just sitting there to collect full of dirt and grime so I purchased an extra male connector, pulled the wires out, filled the holes with silicone and plugged it onto the oem connector.

now here is the million dollar question. after I installed the harness and got everything back up and running, I turned on my fog lights and noticed they are aimed differently from one another, but I am unsure of which one is correct and which one needs to be adjusted. If any of you fine folks know which one needs to be adjusted, feel free to let me know. in the mean time, the searching begins.

In the pictures below, my truck is parked about 6 feet away from the concrete curb you will see in the picture. my passenger side fog light is aimed to shine further away from the truck then the drivers side.

oh and I installed some extra OEM Bed Tie Downs near the cab. The bottom support was too wide to fit into the grooved portion of the bed but, nothing a grinder couldn't fix lol

and don't mind the hole with silicone in it :anonymous:

if you don't feel like posting a picture, maybe just see how far out the main beam pattern begins. would certainly be appreciated haha my drivers side is about 7 feet before the main beam hits. like I said that concrete curb is about 6 feet from the front of the truck. passenger side is about twice that hahaha

ill see what I can find in my searching haha its hard to search when I keep browsing around TW tho hahaha
