My truck isn't a 4X4 so I want a body lift to get a nice look to it. What are some pros and cons of getting a 2 inch body lift?

Can't speak much about well done lifts, but since nobody has chimed in yet, I'd urge you to avoid low buck hocky puck lifts.

I see them because I'm nosy and tend to peek under unique vehicles. I am only really familiar with them on solid front and rear axle trucks, but I have heard of people stuffing similar blocks between their springs and spring seats.

The basic idea is literally a block between the axle and leaf springs, with longer u bolts. Problems that can happen are cheap hardware breaking, sliding out of place, and if one were to go to a big lift, abnormal stress on the driveline joints.

Suitably unhelpful? Hope you have at least a couple pieces of food for thought.

Anyone you know personally have a lifted truck? Ask them what they did, and more importantly, why they went the way they did. Nothing like checking options out in person!
