I put the smaller on top on both body mount and radiator with great results. What issue are you trying to solve by flipping ?

Hey guys just did the radiator bushing swap for the energy polys and man what a big difference! My trucks has 50,000 mls on it and every time I'd park my front end would make a little metallic clink when going from reverse to drive to straighten out the truck...came across this thread and figured sh*t for 25$ might as well! The sound is gone and the truck feels much more stable doing little things like pulling over curbs and what not. I dont offroad too much but love to camp and drive some back country roads and this is what my bushing were looking like before:

FRONTS ON LEFT BOTTOMS ON RIGHT
    upload_2017-1-25_17-45-15.jpg

    AFTER INSTALL:

    PASSENGER SIDE:

    DRIVER SIDE:
    upload_2017-1-25_17-46-42.jpg

Some woods helps! Once you get one side out do yourself a favor and take the bolt out the other side! Otherwise when you go to jack it up on one side you'll be pulling on the other end up as well

Yea...and if you fail to remove the bolt (like me), you run the risk of binding a side and breaking a headlight bracket. Maybe others didnt have an issue, but I did. Just gives me a reason to buy some Depot's, reseal them and improve my current cloudy headlights. Good photos OP.

Changed mine with 145000 miles and they practically crumbled coming out in pieces... Best mod I've done for the money.

Any updates on this? I was interested in getting these and flipping them for a little body lift, but after reading through the entire thread I'm not too sure. Can anybody say how these things are holding up, flipped or not?

I'm extremely happy with these. There's no way I could have kept my sliders on without them - and I'm very happy that I flipped them for the little extra body lift.

Thanks for the reply! So what should one lube these with? And is it the same if you use either side on top?

ES says they don't need lube. Those of us who had noise issues had over torqued the bolts. The super lube linked at the bottom of the page is good if you feel the need to lube them.

Yes and no. The radiator bushings fit. The cab mounts are different.

After looking around the garage scratching my head, I found a use for the old bumper support(little brackets drilled off). Not pictured, I did use one 2x6 block to space it up a little further.

    IMG_6482.jpg

Went with red to be different, and match my future Total Chaos LT bushings. Yeah, yeah, black ones have a "lube" quality to them. Well these are cab mounts and don't move so...
My driver side radiator bolt was skewed to the side, preventing me from easily inserting the sleeve from the bottom. After raising and lowering the body a few times to try and take weight off the bolt, I finally had success by using the jack and a block of wood as a reverse press and the sleeve slid right in without damaging the bushing.

    IMG_6483.jpg

The rears weren't tightening down all the way. I think the main culprit was the thread of the bolts were gunked up with corrosion above where the nut used to sit with the factory mounts, so I figured I needed a washer. Looked around and decided to use the lower plate washers from the factory mounts. Snugged right up, good thread protrusion. Went ahead and did the same on the fronts just to match.

They were even cheaper than the black ones on Amazon. :annoyed:

But i literally already have the black ones in my hand...so i'll just use them since no one will ever see them being as how i still have my stock bumper and fender liners intact

Awesome thread. At this point I think I'm going to wait until the class action suit ruling happens on 4/27 before doing this.
If it looks like there's a good chance I can finagle a new frame in the next year or so I'll have them do it when it's replaced.
If not, early summer project (110k miles btw).
