This sucks. Assuming you already fingered this out and got it done, but HEAT, OIL, REPEAT was my recipe for success. I had the luxury of a daily driver and several days to do it. Both my rear cab mounts were seized inside the sleeve. Impact gun wont do shit to break it loose against a rubber bushing. Twice a day I hit it with PB blaster and set the the bushing on fire with a propane torch. Finally one day, it broke free.

Anybody regret installing their Energy Suspension cab mounts upside down?

Planning on doing this job here in the very new future, got the parts in hand, already did the "universal" core support install and went thick on top.

You did it upside down for the "mini-lift"? I was actually going to ask you if you wanted the core support bushings from the kit, thinking it might help your front end... squeaks...

I've got the universal set up and yes I flipped mine. My front end squeaks because the whole thing is ripped apart so you're hearing the chinsy sheet metal flexing and tearing. Not to mention other things rattling around in the front suspension and stuff.

I found the core supports from the universal kit made a ton of friggin noise. Super annoying. Tossed those and went for the ones from the full kit, no issues since.

Havent done the body mounts, but I would think installing those backwards would end up putting more stress back on the body sheet metal, right? If the core support is X" height, but the body mounts are say X+1" isn't that the same as having old collapsed core supports?

Not when the universal core supports give the same x+ of the inverted cab bushings.

    :notsure:

Dis you grease the crap out of the core support bushings and torque appropriately?

It seems noise is from overtorque and the factory torque spec is surprisingly low.

Yeah neversized the shit out of everything. Due to the poor fit of the generic ones I wasnt able to even get to the torque spec. The inner metal sleeve never made contact. So I dont think overtorque was the issue.

My stock ones make the same noises just after adding my toytec lift. It's only on flexing & offroad though. Once my factory ones are shot this is a very solid setup

Started this today. Got the drivers side done. Rear bolts seized drivers one was a pain and now hung up on the passenger rear.

Pb blaster, heat, bfh, air hammer, still stuck lol would be way easier in a lift. really straight forward process though

I have to finish mine this weekend. Going to sawzall the bolt and sleeve in half - still won’t budge

found a pic from when the frame was getting done and saw the damn bushing the bolt is seized in eyeing me lol666FD4BA-2F3D-4586-8D11-E8BF1E6E62FA.jpg

Finished quickly today. I should have just cut the bolt in half to begin with

So this kit works for the 3rd gens as well? I have 111K on my 2016 and am getting some clunking in the front end. The radiator support bushings are getting here tomorrow and I am thinking about just doing the full body mount bushings too

    Glad I found this thread.

I’m already getting more vibrations in the can than I’d like, so I’m guessing OE bushings would be better for me.

What did you cut it with and how high up did you cut it? I spent 2 hours today smacking 1 of my rears with a hammer to get it to back out but its seized to the sleeve. I had to put the whole truck back together and plan to go to HD and pick up some sawzall blades unless you used something different that worked better.

Is the hole the bolt goes through in the cab larger than the sleeve so if I cut midway up the sleeve will it still back through the body?
