No not at all now that I figured out that issue. My OE core wall and cab bushings were absolutely destroyed, without exaggeration they were crushed a 1/4". The only slight regret is that the poly bushings transfer road vides to the cab more than OE but I have seen guys replace OE with OE only to have the new OE bushings die within a year.

Awesome post caribe! Thanks so much.

It's ridiculous that ES doesn't include this essential information in their installation instructions.

In a case like this I'm tempted to replace the bottom nuts with some Nylocks and just tighten them to snug and call it a day

I ordered this kit a few days ago, and now I'm nervous about installing it. I should have read this thread first. I just don't like doing things twice, maybe I'll just get OEM bushings instead.

Mine are pretty quiet now. They talk a little when the truck flexes, but apparently I'm way over torqued. I'm going to buy new nuts and torque properly. Should be quiet then.

I'm feeling better about getting the body bushings now that Jason @Evenflow has solved his bushing squeak...

@58 Siesta or anybody else know the right size and thread for finding replacement nylocks?

I guess they are soft rubber for a reason,to bad they are not durable. Although my bushings have over a 100k on them, so replacing them with OEM and assuming I will get another 100k is reasonable right? Well I own the kit now, so I may as well try the poly ones. I'm happy for the information this thread has given me though.

I like the ride of the poly bushing much better. You can feel more bumps and such, but not in a bad way IMO

Did ES fix the washer diamater fitment issue that @Torspd had reported? @58 Siesta your washers fit with no modification?

In this photo, it looks the the gold ES washers have a smaller hole vs. Factory ?

No fitment issues. The bolt slid right through on all 4 corners.

Nick, it is a super fine thread bolt so I don't think I would worry about a nylock...the bolt is also so long that I'm not sure the nylon would still actually be doing anything by the time you got it past an inch of threads ?
