    I'm contemplating this, but don't want to become the third victim. That is my luck.

    How much shifting would you say the bushing does against the washers? I'm trying to plan ahead and brainstorming.....

    I'm wondering if cutting a round disc out of an innertube or similar rubbermight eliminate the friction squeaks. Maybe a thin piece of softer plastic like a milk jug or something?

    You guys think something like that would wear through quickly and make it moot?

    I'd say it's not worth the trouble. Replace the nuts and torque to 34 lbs. I'm sure over torque is my problem, and even with that the noise has nearly gone away. I'd put a little super lube on them just on principle.

    Loosened and tightened to correct spec and the noises are down to very very minor (<1%) and may be coming from my suspension at this point.

    Works slowing down a bit for the summer, I'll grab that cold beer and a fishing pole instead.

    I want to wait until I get my 885's as well, that way if I do end up with a reverse taco lean I can pull the spacer when I swap out the 884's. Do it all in the same weekend and be done.

    Question for you guys that have installed already.

    Any problems getting a torque wrench in there for the frame bracket bolts? They are the little ones, 45 ft.lb is spec on those.

    Or do I need a crows foot?

    It all comes down to home comfortable you feel doing it. I also found out you don't have to unhook the ABS connection...because mine wouldn't come undone, I just popped out the wire harness clips from the body and had plenty of slack. Jacked up the cab enough to stick 2 2x6's in between cab and my sliders and then kept the jack under as well for a little extra tension...I get nervous sticking my hands in small places that could close suddenly. But yeah if you jack it up enough, you can easily get a socket wrench in there and a torque wrench.

    One key thing everyone needs to remember when doing this-


    Be careful where you place the jack under the cab!!

    Rob and I found out the hard way that there is a pinch weld under there that it sealed that if you place your jack along that line, you can split the pinch weld and play peekaboo from under the truck in to the cab. Try to place the jack in a spot that doesnt have a seal and looks pretty stout

    Yes, I highly recommend it. The steering shaft is secured to the cab. Also keep an eye on the brake lines that go down the firewall and onto the frame under the drivers side there is zero slack in them.

    I had zero issues with the steering shaft or brake lines, just the ABS line got really taut before I figured out to undue the wire clasps

    Anyone else have a noticeably bumpier ride after this install? I feel like I'm riding in a covered wagon now. What torque are people using? Mine are at 50 or a little more, but I've read 20-40ish as well. Perhaps I have them too tight and its compressing the poly too much, making it stiffer?

    Doesnt matter, you went from rubber to plastic essentially. So all the vibration eating rubber is now gone. Polyurethane is gonna transmit vibrations alot more.

    It is going to ride a lot stiffer the poly bushings are much former than the soft rubber OE bushings.
