    Engine mounts are good. I did look up how to check those & darn!, forgot to put that in the book. I can always add another chapter though....
    I'll check the tranny mount.
    & my guess is that bushings all around would be a good idea. I have put 135,000 on the truck & the body mounts were the first ones I did. Hall of shame....
    I'll give them a look see tomorrow....

    Yeah, it did take on a life of it's own. When I first started posting the vibration, I was thinking since it was something to do with the adjustment due to the mounts, it could be helpful in the body mount area. I had started a thread & since it looks like I skipped a lot of Basics 101, I can move back to that thread.

    Yeah the whole torque spec thing still weirds me out. I guess i’ll torque them to the spec and use blue loctite then hope for the best

    Yes! Do you still have them? I used the ones that came in my body mount kit and have terrible hood alignment like AR15xAR10 did. I'm going to need to try this set so I can put the small one on top to correct the alignment. I'll pay it forward an offer up my radiator ones that came with my body mount bushings for someone who needs them.

    Did you remove the washers? Noise go away? I was thinking about doing something similar, but I was thinking I'd add a sheet of 1/8" UHMW in between the body and the washer in an attempt to reduce the noise. I have not had a chance to try it out yet though.

    If you remove the washers, there is nothing to hold the metal sleeve in place. Ask @Kristi with a K

    Good point. I'm going to try UHMW whenever I get some free time. I have some extra from when I "fixed" the bed design flaw.

    @Capt. Obvious - I'm happy to report that something I just did seems to have improved things. I originally had the noise coming from only the back 2 mounts.

    Here's what I did:

    1. Unbolted rear 2 mounts
    2. Lifted body just enough to get the top washer off (like 1/8")
    3. Added grease to the inside of the sleeve that the bolt slides through (I heard someone say the noise was from the bolt hitting the sleeve....)
    4. Added a square of 1/16" UHMW, with a 1/2" hole in the middle, in between the top washer and the body
    5. Re-torqued the nuts to 34 ft-lbs

    I only did a short drive around the block and it seemed fixed. I suspect that any dirt caught in between the washer and the body causes the noise. That would explain why some people have it and some don't (after torquing to the correct 34 ft-lbs)

    If over time I find it didn't work, the only other thing I can think to try is to better center the cab on the frame. I found that one of the bolts was very close to the side edge of the body. I think if I loosen all 4 mounts and attempt to re-align the cab it may help (if it's rubbing there).

    Hope you remember these steps in 27 years!

    Got these installed - whichever batch that Amazon sells, has the correct spec. spacers/ sleeves. Overall, easy install - just remember to loosen your steering or you'll be lifting your whole truck. Also, as for torquing - just lube up your treads and you'll be good.
