Some folks have been asking about them and I was finally able to get time to get them installed.

From Avid Offroad. Frame mounted and will support the weight of the truck.

More info in the link in my sig.
    Skid plates are next!

So those are a different style than their bolt on sliders on their website that bolt into the bottom of the cab like factory running boards ?

I figured the bolt on's would be extremely popular. You don't have to weld to the frame, so they're removable. I personally don't like any modification that "permantely" alters the vehicle.

How much? How far do they stick out from the edge of the truck. I am looking at getting sliders but I also want my wife to be able to use them as step to get in and out.

Ahhh okay. That makes more sense. I figured bolt-on's would be in higher demand, but I guess not. I probably need to invest in some, but the budget doesn't allow. :annoyed:

With mine tipped up an extra 5 degrees the center of the tube is 2" from the body.
If they were in the normal 15 degree position I would think it's be more like 4".
Mine can be used as steps but not as much surface area as if they were set at 15 degrees.
Would be even better with some grip tape on the bar.

With powder coat they will be around $550. $120 less if now PC. Plus shipping.

I left with the impression that he'd be adding them to his web site after seeing them fit properly and holding the weight of one side of the truck.
