There are no other days at work ...

My biggest fear with Subaru was always head gasket issue, and failing synchros on MT equipped vehicles.

oil usage I can deal with, as long as I can put some mileage on it.

I think OP's Taco is just trying to commit suicide, even a Taco can only stand so much owner hate and misery before it tries to off itself.

Actually, it was a dealer that broke it, than tried to scam me for $3000 to fix it.
I got almost 1k miles after swapping seal and no leaks so far.
So the tech who said front diff needs to be exchanged was absolutely retarded.

I can honestly say I have absolutely no clue why you still have your Taco because 99% of your posts seem to revolve around loathing Toyota and the Tacoma. If I were you, I'd have sold it long ago and bought something different if it was that horrid and I had nothing good to say about it.

I will agree that Toyota dealers seem to have a big rusty stick up their asses as compared to even Dodge dealers. It's something that usually starts at the top CEO/CFO] and works down to the dealers and employees so going above the dealers seldom works out well.

Yeah the 2.5 "EJ" engines were notorious for blowing head gaskets. The H6s rarely had the issue. Who knows about the FB engines.

I think you reading somebody else posts. My problem is not with my truck but cheap ass, Toyota... Not only they did piss poor job designing and producing the frame, they tried to shove the problem under the carpet, and when they get forced to fixed they do half ass job, and in my case break truck and try to scam me for $3000.
So are you saying I should be happy about it ? Are you Toyota employee ?

Well So two weeks 1000 miles and so far no leaks... POS Toyota scammers tried to get $3000 for $11 part. Another warning that stealership will try to rip you off at any opportunity.

On the side note, Crosstrek its freaking awesome. I got white with black seats and orange thread. That CVt transmission is something to get used to but, in time. on fat road keeping speed under 60 MPH I was getting over 40 MPG with cruise control.
I like the dash and controls. Toyota should have done them the same way on 2016 Tacoma instead of that stupid 80's boombox thing.

Engine is not 1GR but it pulls that small car with ease.
    love it.

BlueT needs a Chevy truck then he'd have more things to complain about.
