    Thanks, I think thats what ill end up doing. I read that most people choose that spot. Did you angle yours? Mine recommends a 15deg angle of the bung.

    Cool. Yeah a lot of others I have seen on the forum put them in perpendicular to the piping. Didn't know if that made much of a difference. I just know what the instructions said to do.

    Thanks for the pic, it really helped when I went to have the bung installed last week. Sadly it cost me a little more than $30 ($90 :( ) but I would rather they remove the Y pipe than try to weld in the truck and eff it all up. Gauge should be arriving tomorrow.

    Got my gauge and wideband installed. Not completely sure of its accuracy tho as I am not sure how it is supposed to behave. It is at 14.5 (supposed to be 14.7) at normal driving, but that could be due to the sensor's location. When I floor it it goes down to about 11 and then bottoms at 10 near redline. Also notice that it doesn't really drop the AFR unless you are really getting on it. Is this normal behavior of the ECU for detonation/knock regulation? Either way here are some pics of it installed.

    Sounds just right to me.

    Play with your throttle more. You'll be able to notice when it goes from Closed loop to open loop, by AFR change.

    Yeah I mess with the throttle and it will wiggle up and down by about .2 unless I mash on it and once it gets up in rpm is will work its way down. I can get it to hover in between at like 12-13 by playing with the throttle, but as soon as it shifts or if I floor it it will go down or up. Also when I let off and the tranny does this thing where it feels like its "disengaging", the AFR will peg at 18:1. I was expecting this somewhat, but I am not sure if this is exactly normal either.

    I guess i was just thinking it would be more lively overall like the boost gauge but then again its not based on throttle input, Its what the computer decides right?

    I ordered a PLX Devices control unit and used that with my speedhut afr gauge. the sensor unit was Bosch I believe.

    I don't know for sure or not if that will work. You would have to look into it. I do know for $30 less the plx controller will work.

    How did you fasten the speedhut gauges to the cravenspeed pod holder?
    They are loose when you set them in and don't have studs for the backplate.

    I wrapped a little black electrical tape around the gauges thread area so that they were snug enough when I slid / twisted them in to craven pod. Has worked well for over a year or so.
